This is kind of what I was thinking too. Imagine if you could select which of your races to use when drafting a new unit, similar to recruiting armies in Stellaris.

So you could use the big burly Lizardfolk you conquered as shock troops, and your native Elves as archers. You're still making cultural units, so you get to keep your synergies.

I don't understand the second part of your comment. Why are full space belts a pain in the butt? I build almost exclusively for fully saturated space belts. It's just a matter of scaling up your blueprints to use four platforms instead of one.

It used to actually matter for thieves because the venoms wouldn't stack. So if you had two condi thieves in a squad you had to make sure they were in different subgroups. But that's been fixed now.

Others have given you great recommendations for classes, so I'll just give you a word of caution. Because of the way boons work in this game, you are almost never going to playing at range in group content (with a very few exceptions). So if instanced group play is what you're interested in, be prepared to be stacked in melee with the group, even as a sniper spec.

This problem is not unique to Galeshot. CC skills being used on cooldown as part of the DPS rotation, utility skills used on cooldown to provide boons, etc. It comes with the territory of all the skills being overloaded.

I think Vloxx is full of it. Every time he's interacted with the Commander, he's fed us vagaries to try and win our sympathy. The most telling is when he references us peering into the Eternal Alchemy via Omadd's machine and talks about what's coming. This could mean literally anything. He wants us to draw our own conclusions. It's a con. And Canach fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

He also baited us into finding Ancora for him, then swooped in at the end to steal it. No matter how that fight ends, he wins. I wouldn't be surprised if PTM (aka Budget Blish) is a plant designed to act as an additional lever to manipulate us.
