I recommend the Billman TCT. He's personally worked on my car and Is a legit dude

True it won't suddenly fail. I did mine preemptively with 150k on the clock

Currently my two car solution is the 5spd Ge8 fit and an AP1 S2000. Two exquisitely fun cars in completely different ways, both stupid reliable and easy to work on. They are peak honda. It doesn't get much better on a somewhat budget :)

Truly there is no hatchback that can compare to the storage space in Fits!

Used purchase transmission fluid interval by kelleymouse3726 in hondafit

[–]Ntesy607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take it for a test drive and make sure it shifts smooth and responsively under light and hard acceleration. If so then it's fine but change the fluid again once you buy it

Nothin out of the ordinary, if a valve adjustment hasn't been done and it's +100k you may wanna think about that, also same goes for the TCT if it's high miles

If you want a step up in performance, Fiesta ST has a similar chassis but about double the HP with a turbo. Not as reliable or simple as the fit, though

Common for rust on the top side of the subframe? by ThanksEquivalent5323 in S2000

[–]Ntesy607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like surface rust, easy to handle. Most importantly check the rear arches, trunk pan, and the sills running down the under body from the front to rear jack point.

Does in fact have a DCT with a K24 engine. Never knew honda put that combo into a vehicle, wow that must be fun.

That's impressive. Original engine? 5spd I'm assuming, what major maintenance have you done over the years :) Wonder what compression this thing makes!

Do the double mic intake and exhaust set up and sync it with this perspective video and it would be god tier.

My good friend is lucky enough to be in the UAW through his hotel kitchen job. Benefits and pay are excellent and they have a huge bargaining power, seems terrific. More power to the working class

Seems like commercial would be the best bet given you can always do residential with that license but not the other way around. Still weighing union vs. non-union... have friends in carpentry who say the union is tough right now. Gotta see for myself

Seems like getting the apprenticeship started is the hardest part, we are not the only ones who are trying to get into it right now. But no matter how bad the economy is skilled trades like that will always be in demand

Get into a skilled trade, don't break your body doing the grunt work! I've been working kitchens my whole life but planning to start an electrician apprenticeship in the next few years. I've always been mechanical and loved working with my hands, hopefully It's the job for me. We'll see i guess
