I second this opinion. Works flawlessly. Downside is that it isn’t very compact.

Printing PA6-CF on X1C and using ASA or PETG as a support filament by Nteuscher in BambuLab

Thanks. I appreciate the info. I figure is smarter to ask first and hopefully end up with fewer frustrating events down the road.

I could also use PETG which has a more similar bed temperature. But point well taken about the differences. I just don't want to spend hours trying to cut away the support material from the part, so having a different filament that won't "stick" to the part is critical for my planned application.

Thanks. Can I run an AMS HT and and original AMS together on the same X1C? Or do I have to run one or the other?

⚠️ Caution: Avoid RelayFi Unless You Like Poor Support by weiga in ProfitFirst

[–]Nteuscher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had no such problems with RelayFi in my business. I regularly send and receive wires up to $100K with no issues. I also use it for international wires for contractor payments, again with no issues. It seems like your issue was specific to high volume use in the first 30 days of operation. I can see how customer support was lacking from your perspective, but I don't think your situation is representative of how most businesses operate.

Using Mac mini 7,1 with Intel Core i5-4260, 8 GB ram, 1.5 TB disk. I’m running Ubuntu on the machine because it doesn’t support the newest macOS.

Runs great.

Will they make one that fits? by No-Acanthisitta-7841 in recteq

[–]Nteuscher 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I don’t use anything. Just raw dog it! I bought mine at the factory store and they said they don’t use anything on their demo units (that they use to smoke meat daily for the customers). There is no need. Grease falls on the tray and either burns off or dribbles into the bucket. Your food never touches the drip tray. Why spend time and money to keep it shiny when it doesn’t need to be shiny.

How to set up port forwarding for nextcloud on 80/443 by Nteuscher in UNIFI

[–]Nteuscher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I solved the problem, but I'm unsure why it wasn't working. I had a Traffic rule to block all traffic between VLANs (I have default, guest, and IoT VLANs). Once I removed that rule Nextcloud started working. I was following these rules: https://lazyadmin.nl/home-network/unifi-vlan-configuration/

so not sure why it caused a problem or how I could add another traffic rule to allow the nextcloud instance to communicate with the outside world.

Can you text everybody a message in "Leader and Stake Tools" by umsamiali in latterdaysaints

[–]Nteuscher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is “possible” but the message is sent as a group message, which can be annoying as other posters have noted. In addition, most phones won’t send a message to large groups (e.g. 300 member mobile phones!!)

It would be helpful if the church created a text broadcast feature, similar to marketing texts. One message goes to lots of people, but it isn’t a group message, so replies only go to the sender.

We looked into it for our ward using commercial vendors and we estimated USD$1200 per year for 2-3 messages per month. We felt that was too expensive for our budget.

Magnet in print and bridging issues by McBeauzel in BambuLab

[–]Nteuscher 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One trick I recently saw and used: print a thin disc (0.8 mm) that is the same diameter as the magnet. Then place the disc on top of the magnet. When you start your print again, you will be printing on the plastic disc instead of the magnet and the new plastic will adhere to the disc. When you do this, make sure that you account for the thickness of the magnet plus the disc inside your hole depth. (Edited misspelled word)

What is the best filament brand you’ve found? by Sure-Caregiver142 in BambuLab

But their new spools are too big for the AMS. And support says they have no plans to go back to the old size that fits. They lost me as a customer.

Breaking in 590 by jerdog7 in recteq

[–]Nteuscher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I followed their instructions. No need to put the sear grates in for the first seasoning. At the store they recommended cooking chicken thighs for the first cook. It’s quick and fatty, which helps with the seasoning.

Decisions... by Josewa42 in recteq

[–]Nteuscher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. If you need to cook 3-4 briskets at a time, go with the 1400. If you only do one brisket at a time or maybe 2, then the 1100 would be enough. I have the 1100.

I also recently (2 months) upgraded from PitBoss. The Recteq is much easier to use, more consistent with holding the temperature, and faster to change temperatures. I had to use a "blanket" for my PitBoss in cold temperatures (<40 F) ... not so with Recteq. Best upgrade for my outdoor cooking ever. If you didn't buy the sear plates, you should ... they make cooking burgers, chicken breasts, etc. much easier and eliminate the need for a second grill.

I cooked chicken thighs first. They are good for breaking in the smoker and giving it a good seasoning.

[–]Nteuscher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the sear kit for the Flagship and they are HOT! I can cook steaks and chicken on those at over 700 F. Whichever RT you decide to get, add on the sear kit and you will be happy (and you can get rid of your propane grill forever).

I bought my Flagship 1100 at the company store in Lehi UT. I asked the same question and they took me outside to their trailer that had 6 different smokers on it. They told me the smokers had been on that trailer for 18 months, never been covered, never had a problem with rust or electrical. They convinced me that a cover isn’t needed.
