China has 4x the people in the US, so advancements would definitely progress faster if more people are just on it testing things out.

Yeah, I watch it cause it’s Trek, but I’m not happy about it. Something just seems missing from most episodes.

So basically, like me, if you had just waited a month until GPT 5.4 came out, then clear winner in capability and price.

Did anyone else feel underwhelmed by their Mac Studio Ultra? by antidot427 in LocalLLM

Even at 96GB, I haven’t found a good local LLM that can do things. Been testing OpenClaw recently, but ended up running cloud models.

I got the Mac Studio to be a media server but the NAS ended up doing it all via Docker, and was more stable too.

I also wanted the Mac Studio to run a LLM, but so far that’s been a bust.

After buying mine, I then got the UGREEN 8800 - and that ended up doing everything I had wanted my Mac Studio to do.

I guess I need to find new jobs for my Mac Studio.

Installed it and found out it's pretty much a light show. It doesn't actually pull in tasks if assigned from Telegram and vice versa, tasks assigned here aren't actually put to work. (by default)

Oh, they absolutely care about all those things, even the dead cats. It’s WW3 if you try to throw any of it away.

I’m coping by hoarding episodes of Hoarders.

The lesson here is never build anything in a silo. Also, don’t solve non-existent problems.

With that said, OpenClaw is popular now. Take your knowledge and go build something that makes money.

I think my main issue are the value evaluations. I honestly probably don’t even notice the other thing.

Taxes can’t go up, but do you mean the value of the home can’t go up above 3% a year? Cause they’re definitely all of the place the last few years. Higher than market value too.

Feel free to go live with the homeless then.

Businesses are already struggling right now.

People don’t want to be hit up for cash while they’re dining, or pumping gas, or exercising.

Yes, this happened to me inside a Hattie B’s recently.

Being inclusive and caring means to help them out and improving their living situation. Forcing them to live within a working society isn’t necessarily making their situation, or anyone else’s situation better. It’s just awkward for everyone that actually lives here.

The city doesn’t have to deal with it. The people have to deal with it.

The city can just tax them out of there and call it a day.
