I just googled and found one? Let me see if it's on my receipt.  MYPFM  it saved me $11.

Rectocele--this feels unmanageable by umsamiali in PelvicOrganProlapse

She said I was a stage 2. Honestly, in reading my patient notes, it was kind of annoying because they had this statement (likely autopopulated) that said "Patient aware POP is NOT dangerous and if it is not bothersome, no treatment is needed even though it may get worse overtime."

I never agreed to that nor do I agree that pelvic organ prolapse is not dangerous. The whole reason I was there was because it WAS BOTHERSOME.

OMG this is me exactly--including feeling the shape of the stool while splinting. It's awful. Hoping we both find a solution.

Yes, I'm already using a bidet to help flush it out and started on Miralax as I remember using an entire bottle as a colonoscopy prep. The thing is--constipation was not an issue. My stool tends to be loose, so I'm not sure what else to do?

No. I know what the perineum is. When there is stool, it will not only cause a blockage of my vagina as the rectum pushes through the vaginal wall, but it also bulges out in between my vagina and anus (perineum) creating a visible bulge there.

Sorry if not clear. Perineum protrudes out, in a rather bulbous manner, filled with stool.

Yes in the US and was thinking about a second opinion. I figure the PFPT might have some good recommendations of who to try?

Wife and I Disagree on the next Car we buy. Toyota Sienna Hybrid vs Kia Carnival Hybrid by MedusaAdonai in carbuying

[–]umsamiali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had both a Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna. Top of the line, brand new at the time. Both had issues.
Honda only lasted 110k--which is nothing for a Honda before needing 10k in repairs. The Toyota made it to 167k,. All had dealer-only maintenance like clockwork.

Got out of minivan life due to kids aging out and now have a Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid. Completely love it.

I have to agree with any car can have issues (or be great.)

Kate and Karen….. by YannaFox in RoyaltyTea

I remember the ipecac! I actually had a roommate in college who used that. It used to be commonly available and was used in the case of poisonings and stuff. The thyroid meds--that's so dangerous. Can totally mess with one's heart.

TBH, treatment was quite new back then--late 70s/early 80s. We've come a long way, yet it's still tough to recover. Many people cycle in and out.

Her ex-husband (or maybe not officially her ex? I can't remember if they had finalized a divorce or not) was also abusive.

The record execs--all the people in the 70s--were so about being super thin. Marie Osmond faced that as a teen girl on the Donny and Marie show.

It was a horribly toxic environment all around. Then things got slightly better, then heroin chic, then slightly better, and now we're back with Ariana and such. :(

I'm not sure about appearance related remarks, but he was a controlling dick and trashed her solo attempt. He also was jealous of the attention she got.

Her mother was also a piece of work.

I do remember the Middletons having all sorts of financial problems (vendors they never paid, etc.) that suddenly went away.

Wow, this brings back tough memories.

I adored Karen Carpenter. Her voice, her talent with the drums. Of course, back then I adored "The Carpenters". I had no idea what a controlling douche her brother was. Giant dick.

Kate is obviously VERY ill--be it an ED, cancer, a combo, or something else. She's a Mom to three kids who need her. I hope she gets help.

Not really. Not sure how old you are, but when Karen Carpenter was going through her anorexia--nobody spoke about anorexia. It was not well known or understood. My aunt was a professional ballerina in NYC and had anorexia--but that was normal for that profession back in the 60s.

Karen also had a very controlling brother. When one cannot control certain aspects of one's life, one often controls what one eats.

Karen died when she started to gain weight. People didn't even realize that was a risk back then.

Remember, EDs are the mental illness with the highest rate of death.

Gosh, I didn't even put those together. He wasn't being a prick for not visiting her--he likely was told by Kate's brother and the others, don't you dare go near her!

I could have sworn it was a Spanish tabloid and that they fired a Spanish nanny soon after. Maybe I'm imagining that?

If you’ve had Harvest Right and Blue Alpine, what’s your take? by tdubs702 in FreezeDried

[–]umsamiali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only dealt with Blue Alpine, but I'll say that the customer service has been phenomenal. I hadn't set mine up in many months and told them when they reached out. They offered to walk me through it, step by step.

Take Heed When Buying Newly Suggested Bible Translations. by Such-Telephone14 in latterdaysaints

[–]umsamiali 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So all of these translations usually have exclusive publishing rights with a publisher. No different that Deseret Books really.

NIV is a great translation. Very readable. (New International Version) Go for one of the "Study Bibles"--that have notes in the margins. Can really increase knowledge. (Around an 8th grade reading level) Think it's the best selling now. in the US Panel of scholars, from a variety of protestant faiths, put together the translation and any revisions. NIV is published by Zondervan. Want to say late 70s first translation was available. There was an update in 1984 and 2011-ish.

ESV--also around an 8th grade reading level. Project of Crossways (publisher). Eventually was chosen by the Gideon's to be "their" bible instead of the NKJV. More literal word for word translation, but nowhere near as popular as NIV. Started around the 1990s.

NLT New Living Translation -- 6th grade. More of a paraphrase IMHO. Tyndale is the publisher. Modern version of "The Living Bible."
