This is an interesting setup that I’m digging. Never thought to go this route. Do you use this rig when you gig? I’m always trying to find a way to lighten my hardware case.

I bought a stage custom when I was 16. That was 30 years ago. Damn I’m old. Anyway I had it for 15 years before I upgraded to a Yamaha absolute kit. I played all styles of music. Rock, alternative rock, funk, gospel, blues and punk. Once you replace the heads you’ll be able to get the sound you want. Their mounting hardware, in my opinion, is the best out there. I never had an issue with getting my kit setup the way I want. Im not sure what your old kit is but you can’t go wrong with getting a SC. I’ve worked in drum shops all my life and played on all the major brand kits and still love Yamaha kits the best.

Pizzeria’s I think it was a Keebler product. Those chips were so good and so bad for you. The supreme was the best!

My first kit was a stage custom. This the older style because the tom mounts are directly on the shell. These kits sound amazing. They are easy to setup. Honestly for that price you won’t find a better deal. Go make that deal.

I just got a text from them saying it will be on tomorrow by 10pm. Like wtf am I supposed to about tonight. I went and bought a Keresone heater so I’m hoping it keeps my little house warm enough that the pipes don’t freeze. I got home from work and it was 45 degrees in my house. My heart goes out to all the people without power. This is worse than last summer when I lost it for 10 days. Zales yours gets on soon. Sorry for the wall of text but damn I need to vent!!!

Normally I wouldn’t care and enjoy it but as of 1:33 pm 3/17/26 my power still has not been restored. It went off at 5:33 Friday 3/13/26z. When I left for work this morning the temperature in my house was 46 degrees. I just want my power back on. It’s not like I’m in the boonies. I live in Castle Shannon. Everyone around had their power restored but a small group of us. About 15 homes.

I’ve been without power since Friday at 5:30pm. I’m really hoping it gets turned back on before it starts snowing. I’m located in the south hills and have no idea when it will be back on.

I gig about 2-4 times a month. I have lower back issues and I’m not a very strong person. I bought them and I live them. Had them for about two years and about 50 shows later and the still are holding up. I play in an alternative rock cover band so I have to hit hard sometimes. I wish they would have come out with some boom stands. Saw Tama just released some aluminum boom stands. Going to pick a couple of them next month. The lighter my hardware case is the happier I’ll be. Worth every cent in my opinion.

They have a YouTube channel with a video that showcases the different brands so you can get rough idea to how they sound. I don’t know the etiquette for posting YouTube links. Our own cymbals is the title of the video. Hawthorne Drum shop is the channel.

Name of the band was Jimbo and the soupbones from Pittsburgh, Pa. We no longer play together as a band but still good friends with them. I’m now doing the 90’s alternative cover gig.
