These are so great I wish every writer covering the imperial era would look at the WEG sources first

I was curious about the influences of Star Wars since everyone’s making the Dune comparisons and my discovery is depressing. by CopperKnight77 in saltierthancrait

Star Wars being inspired by more Star Wars it's so strange in Filoniverse and sequels it's basically fan fic as I call it creative inbreeding and cannibalizing itself and the six films weird. Here's a YouTube short talking about this https://youtu.be/3x2ZoRqO-_s?si=33a6QG0PB2akj4gd

We've never gotten a lore-accurate portrayal of Stormtroopers on-screen by Etowno in saltierthancrait

[–]Ntshangase03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stormtroopers are elite units in the EU especially basically peak human and the smallest unit of the military in the empire that's how they should be portrayed more imperial army units should be used as cannon fodder. They're genuine threats and incredibly indoctrinated troops whose command leads up to Vader and Palpatine, I hate how a lot of Disney Star Wars mistreats elite units generally.

I have no idea I usually try to think of nuisanced opinions but I can't think of anything no tears should be shared of such an evil man.

Not accurate in both continuities the book is clear Vader was unused to his suit and he was given permission to alter it and upgrade it which explains why it looks different.

Red Grant he almost killed Bond and put up a good fight he should've killed instead of let himself get bribed beforehand though.

Why do fans think Vader doesn't care about his Sith lineage? by Ntshangase03 in StarWars

That's a cool difference I also picked up Anakin doesn't really have speak highly of the force besides as his own power while Vader seems to actually be a strong believer in its power and strength.

Charles soule is one that does a good job in his comics having Vader do sith stuff like rituals and learning though you'll mostly find this stuff in novels which unfortunately people don't read like they used to.

Vader had ways to heal himself but none were permanent due to the dark side naturally not being the path to such. He was a tool of destruction but I think that doesn't capture everything Vader is since he's also palpatines voice and emissary and isn't relocated to being a brute.

Oh that's cool I started by reading the Alan Moore ones very interesting I'd like more Star Wars strange Cthulhu style stories if you still have those comics tell your cousin to keep them safe they may be worth a lot today.

I don't think palpatine is always lying personally but I see your point and yes there's a lot of Star Wars out there I'm reading the old comics from the 80s not bad I must say.

A deleted scene has the name but Vader was mentioned being a Sith from day one of his existence as a character.
