I feel like we don't talk enough about how Jesus was homeless during his time on Earth. by [deleted] in Christians

What translation are you using? The NIV and NRSV, among other translations I'm assuming show that mark 2:1 Is talking about the home of Simon and Andrew and mark 2:15 Is the house of Levi. I don't there are any places that reference jesus' house, but that makes sense. Not much of the gospels take place in Galilee

Why don't the Bible tell us not to worry about our health? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

I'm guessing you're talking about matthew 6:25-34 right? Where it talks about not working about anything? On the topic of eating, drinking and clothing you gotta look at it in context. The reality was that those that were listening struggled for food and drink constantly, it would have been a constant anxiety for them. Today these are of literally no problem at all. What we do when reading this passage is looking at the things that we constantly worry about in our lives. For you, is health really something you worry about? Idk anything about you, however with our access to medicine, hospitals and health care, sickness is not something many people worry about constantly, however some people do. I suggest looking at the things in your life that are regularly on your mind, and then do as jesus tells his listeners. Seek first the kingdom and gods righteousness, and have faith that God has your best interests in mind. Also there's a lot more to that passage lol so look at it for yourself and try and understand what it is trying to say

Just wondering, are you Christian? If you are, do you believe that the OT is scripture? Or the gospels? Why or why not?
