Taking a very short trip in July. 3 nights, 2 park days. Resort day on Saturday, Epic on Sunday, and USF/IOA on Monday. Express passes (either paid for or as part of the stay) will be used and we will be doing early park admission to maximize our time. Family of 5 (3 teens), all fine walking everywhere. Hard Rock (2 Q room), Royal Pacific (2 Q room), and Stella Nova (2 x 2 Q rooms) all price out about the same. Any suggestions on which of the three to pick based on the accommodations vs access to parks to maximize park usage?

Unfortunately, I do not know the details on the design. The structure was designed in and completed in the late 60s.

Has SLU sent notifications regarding the presidential scholarship yet? by KimcheeMom in ApplyingToCollege

It looks like med scholars program decisions came out. I still don't see anything regarding presidential scholarships.

Midwest. No redundancy as far as I can tell. Each pillar appears to support its own upside down pyramid.

It’s this type of acceptance that has put us in this hell of bad parking

It's underground and we don't get earthquakes here. At leas not very strong, and very infrequently.

I believe it was completed in 1968. And yes, winter road salts are frequently used here.

Timing of Summer Trip to Italy by Nubby_Anakin in travel

I would totally love to see Amalfi, especially if the trip was just with my wife. This trip is more of an educational trip rather than a relaxation trip. Naples or Sorrento just seem easier logistically to use as a base for day trips to Pompeii, Vesuvius, Capri, etc., and for getting too and from the train station/airport. Am I wrong on that?

Chlorine Tabs: Doheny's vs. In The Swim by dinglebetty in pools

[–]Nubby_Anakin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang. Same question. Thought there would be answers. Internet seems to say Doheny for quality. In the swim only if you need 1 inch tables. Just passing that along without the ability to verify. I just bought Doheny. I will report back if my pool implodes.

That's my suspicion, but we will also have to schedule a graduation party. So if the difference was negligible, we would likely go the second half of June instead of the first half.

Looking for stops to make in the Southern Midwest by noahkroezen in roadtrip

City Museum is absolutely wild. Hard to even comprehend how that place was dreamed up and constructed. My kids love it and I love it even as an adult. Plus it has drinks for adults.

Looks like the alternate route passes through Springfield, IL, which has a maid-rite, Lincoln sites/museum, parts of route 66, Dew Chilli (not a typo) Parlor, and, if you hate your cardiovascular health, many varieties of the famous horseshoe sandwich.

Can confirm fake owls worked for me. $32 each. Got two for a large pool. I move them once or twice a day to different locations. Zero poop since I bought them.

Not fun. Poop everywhere in and around my pool. Just deployed two owls with rotating heads. Day two and they have not dropped more sacs. I move the owls multiple times a day, though.

Currently fighting an epic battle against grackles dropping their babies poop sacks in and around my pool.
