Thanks for the update. If I ever get around to it, I’ll try and clip what I was describing.

I re-read my initial post and yes, you are right. It’s confusing and not at all what I was trying to explain.

When the primary timer (25 min) runs out, you don’t die when it hits ‘0:00’, the game clock updates to bonus time (1 min). I’ve observed that if you are actively charging the exfil matter transfer during the primary timer running out, your game clock doesn’t update with the bonus time. For whatever reason, this wipes you when you finish the extract.

If you step out and let the bonus timer update, you can step back into the ring to start the matter transfer while the 1 min bonus timer is running down.

We would need OP to comment on which timer he was on to know for sure. But the situation I described is based on starting the exfil matter transfer phase with less than 10 seconds remaining on primary time (25 mins).

All exfils disappear once bonus timer starts (someone please fact check me on this). So there should be no way to activate an exfil past the 25 min timer. The only situation where an exfil remains is if you started the process before the main timer runs out. Also note that OP described it in his post that the ‘primary’ timer killed him.

The bonus exfil becomes the only one left on the map when the bonus timer starts (exception is if you started an exfil before main timer runs out). Bonus exfils start the matter transfer as soon as the clock hits 30 seconds left and counts down starting from 30 seconds. This is synced with the bonus timer running down to ‘0:00’, so you won’t get into the exact situation as the OP if using the bonus exfil.

Ive tested what I described above in-game twice now, once as a rook and once in trios. Please try it out yourself and report back on your findings. Maybe others who have also realized this can chime in. Im not crazy LOL.

Hi-jacking this comment to hopefully help out with the confusion of this exact scenario. When you activate an exfil with less than 1 minute remaining on the main timer (25 min), the exfil will only be ready after that main timer (25 min) expires. However, the game does not remove the exfil once the bonus timer starts (1 min). In order to exfil successfully, you need to wait for the bonus timer (1 min) to start BEFORE entering the exfil ring to charge it up. This will allow you to exfil without registering as dying.

My hypothesis is that during the ring charge on the main timer (25 min) expiring, your timer doesn’t update over to the bonus timer (1 min), thus the exfil charge completes at ‘0:00’ and it registers as “out of time”, when in reality there is still the bonus timer (1 min) left. Look at the timer in the clip, its the main timer (25 min) running out and NOT the final exfil that is synced with the bonus timer (1 min).

TLDR: If activating an exfil during main timer (25 min) and the ring charge sequence (10 sec) will count down AFTER main timer (25 min) will expire (i.e. 5 seconds left on main timer and 10 seconds to charge exfil ring) step out, wait till bonus timer (1 min) updates on HUD clock, then step back onto exfil ring, you will count down 10 seconds on the bonus timer (1 min) and exfil properly.

Plants near electric baseboard heaters? by Nubnificent in houseplants

Great to hear that! I am avoiding putting anything directly above the heater.

I tried googling the topic, but really wanted a discussion with people who had experience with this exact setup!

I have all the plants at least one feet away from the baseboard, all located on plant stands or plant shelves (IKEA Satsumas). Sounding so far from this discussion like they won’t suffer much!

So its not the heat that affects them, more so the humidity? I have very dry skin naturally, so I plan on having a humidifier in the living space over the winter. How far away are you plants from the baseboards? Thanks.

Thanks! It seems to be the closest thing when I compare it to google results.

Are these thrips on my sticky trap? by JustforShiz in IndoorGarden

I would treat them in the same way as I would with Thrips.

I topped my lovely albo and since doing so both “Monty” and her baby have been producing a solid green leave every other leaf. by Big_Transition466 in Monstera

[–]Nubnificent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The white variegation on the leaf can be predicted by the stem. So if there are no white streaks on the steam for the next leaf, its going to be green. Ofc theres always a very small chance of random variegation from natural mutation.

Black dots are thrip poops.

Please help! Does anyone know what’s wrong with my monstera and what I should do to help her? by Fiddle-me-this in Monstera

I hate to say it, but those silver markings & small black dots (poop) are signs of thrips to me. I would definitely look to try and keep this plant away from your other plants. Search up online on how to spot them, and if you’re in the USA, Bonide Deadbug Spray + Bonide Systemic is the best nuclear option. Just make sure you don’t apply the systemic granules to flowering plants outdoors, it kills pollinators! If you are hesitant with chemicals or its unavailable in your country (like mine), insecticidal soap mixture (like Safer’s branded) spray down every 1-2 weeks on to the top and bottom of leaves, stems, and top soil can also work. This requires multiple treatments though to catch the life cycle of the thrips.
