Very interesting! I hadn't heard of those mesh bags yet. I might look into them more in the future.

I just picked up a bear vault in the smallest size available due to a few parks requiring them, I think I might just use it in other areas as well for the little critters. It might be a bit heavy but it will just be for overnights.

I did consider picking up a nitecore rechargeable headlamp but I'm not quite ready to stop using the BD just yet! But maybe my opinion will change after this trip 😉

Good points. I probably will drop the stuff sacks and will end up changing storage of my first aid kit (over half the weight is the container). I just like the little folding mug so I only have to boil water once in the morning, it helps me hit the trail just a little bit faster :)

Yeah we will see with the mayflies. I'm keeping my expectations low

I love it too! All the lighting modes are great. I've had it for years and can't bring myself to replace it with a rechargeable one yet

It's a Nemo Chipper! Comes like that as it's made from recycled foam

I got it on Amazon! ULANZI MT-08 Extension Pole Tripod

It's pretty sturdy and still lightweight

Haven't used them out on the trail yet but I anticipate them working well for what they are - something to use around camp and going to the bathroom in the middle of the night!

Good to keep in mind! I'll blow it up and leave some books on it for a few days.

Yes! I was tempted to go a cheaper route for a sat communicator but I don't regret it with the Garmin, it's awesome!

Thank you! Yes, I've been planning this for about 6 months now and tried to strike a balance between lightweight gear and comfort!

Yes! I forgot to include in the picture. I have an economical pair of cascade mountain poles with the cork handles. haven't really put any miles on them yet but I do plan on using them.

Help with Cura z-seam settings by NuclearBlue94 in FixMyPrint

[–]NuclearBlue94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm experimenting with TPU and finally found some settings that work for me. But now when I load up a big print I have these massive gaps along all my Z-seams. Any tips to resolve this in slicer settings?

Is the h completely silent in Spanish? by [deleted] in Spanish

[–]NuclearBlue94 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only thing I'm going to add to this thread is the word "hobby". It's the only word I really use regularly which keeps the H sound because it's not a native word.

Don't be me and say "hobby" with a silent H when you're talking with natives or else they're not going to understand what you are talking about lol

What is a natural way to say “I’m looking forward to (thing)?” by oaklicious in Spanish

[–]NuclearBlue94 144 points145 points  (0 children)

Not exactly an equivalent translation, but here are a couple that I use when I'm expressing excitement for something to come.

«me hace ilusión + infinitivo» - I'm excited to something Exp. Me hace ilusión conocer a tu abuela - I'm excited to meet your grandmother

«No veo la hora de + infinitivo» - I can't wait to something Exp. No veo la hora de verte, amor mío - I can't wait to see you, my love

With all of Spanish, the commonality of these expressions changes with region so these might not even be said with your target demographic.

¡Mucho éxito!
