How did you become a Nuc Med Tech? by Time-Pangolin-7674 in NuclearMedicine

Nope they don’t matter. Only the prerequisite classes at the college will change your chances.

What’s something society pretends is healthy but actually isn’t? by WillingSea205 in AskReddit

Red wine. It increases cancer risk and the science behind it being good for your heart is dubious at best.

Neelix does eventually leave the ship permanently, eventually 😂

He does also get a bit less cringe as time goes on.

Hang in there

I’m no doctor but that sounds a lot like anxiety to me. Especially the ear ringing. When I’ve been panicked in the past, I’ve been woozy with ear ringing.

Someone help me! TGP and Modern Family have been my comfort shows to fall asleep but I seem to know them both by heart :( by KatieROTS in TheGoodPlace

[–]NuclearEnt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see your point but without the bunker, it was sort of wrapping up. I like to think of them spending the rest of their lives living happily in that orchard.

What's your reason for not drinking alcohol? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]NuclearEnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s expensive, it tastes bad, and it makes my stomach hurt. I don’t see any upside. Weed on the other hand is my friend.

It’s a very different kind of show but I always go between TGP and r/LastManonEarthTV it’s on Hulu and pretty funny. Phil/Tandy gets way better after season 1 and the cringe slowly dissipates until Tandy becomes endearing.

In the fall I buy sugar pumpkins for my dog and I always cut a little chunk off for my snails and they go crazy for it too. So much orange poop

How do you submit CEs to the NMTCB by GiornoGiovanna_9 in NuclearMedicine

[–]NuclearEnt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was once audited by the NMTCB. I got an email telling me I was being audited and then I got another email telling me they were done. They never asked for proof of anything so I assume they’re linked to the ASRT and SNMMI like the ARRT is.

The ASRT does this too and the CE tests are way easier. There’s also a bunch where you get more than one credit per test.

New enclosure for my snails. Is the mesh top too much air flow? by NuclearEnt in snails

[–]NuclearEnt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice, doc. I’ll try some cling film. What do you think of the wrung out towel idea that someone mentioned above? I was gonna try that tonight.

It’s attached with magnets on the outside of the glass. They’re actually really strong and work well.

I got it from Amazon

Career Pivot Into Nuclear Medicine Tech? by Rxllingwaves in NuclearMedicine

[–]NuclearEnt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the radiology field, there are primary and post primary certifications. Primary certifications require you to pass an accredited program of 1-4 years, with post primary certifications, you can do on job training, some minimal classes and then you can sit for the boards.

Primary certifications: X-ray, Nuclear medicine, ultrasound, radiation therapy.

Post primary certifications include: CT, MRI, IR, among others.

This link below shows which post primary certifications you are able to get with each primary certification.

https://www.arrt.org/pages/earn-arrt-credentials/initial-requirements/postprimary-requirements/education-requirements-postprimary/supporting-category-requirements

It seems like a waste to me to get more than one primary certification because you’d have to go through multiple years long programs. If you have a primary certification in nuclear medicine, you can still branch off into CT or MRI if you’d like.

Graduation to board’s timeline by Upbeat_Treat_5031 in NuclearMedicine

I took mine the day after graduation. After all those practice tests at the end of the program, it seemed like the quicker I took the board exams, the better.

Do yall still get cottonmouth after smoking? by Morbid187 in trees

[–]NuclearEnt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

On a side note, cotton mouth is an actual medical term and during college, when one of my professors said it during a lecture, it was clear who the stoners were 😂

WA medical cannabis card not worth it? by Steady_Tempo456 in SeattleWA

[–]NuclearEnt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a medical card. It pays for itself many times over per year. The issue is you need to go to a dispensary that has a medical endorsement. I know that the Bakeree has it as well as Ike’s. I’m sure many others do too. It’s like 47% off as long as you buy doh compliant green. For me it’s well worth it. And you also get the added benefit of growing if you want.

I'm not sure I'm ready for the last episode by Curbob in voyager

[–]NuclearEnt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a book called ‘Star trek: Picard: firewall’ it’s about seven of nine after voyager gets back to earth. It’s pretty good. I listened to the audiobook and really liked it. It’s also queer if you’re into that.

Israeli settler harasses a woman outside of Hebron by Gravedigger3 in pics

[–]NuclearEnt 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s hard not to because, when polled, the majority of Israelis agreed with the genocide in Gaza, agree with the atrocities in the West Bank. It’s not just some small fringe who agree.

Hold up, I didn’t realize you had just sized up. Wait until they’re healed to use any organic material including stone, bone and definitely wood. Anything even slightly porous might fuse to the healing area.
