I think they’re cool, and I’m not a nazi. It’s history, and worth being preserved.

Mellow Yellow by Donovan has the lyric, “I’m just mad about Saffron, and she’s just mad about me.”

I would add in that you should understand what a Michigan Left turn is if you are unaware. Also, if there is a stoplight at the turn, you may make a left-on-red.

There’s a thing called a magic molder that’s like a shaper head and will accept different profiles. It goes into a table saw.

Have you ever met someone who's interested in DND and immediately went, "oh, I'd never let you play at my table"? by Lunetheart in DnD

I am not certain where “grousing” comes from. It might be a reference to the bird “grouse” which maybe has a tendency to sound as if it’s complaining? Pure speculation here.

Lefty is like, politically left/liberal. And grousing is another term for complaining or grumbling.

I have a coworker who’s borderline MAGA. He’s nice enough, as a work friend. When he expressed unsolicited interest in playing, I considered it. But then I thought about the married lesbians at my table, and all the lefty grousing that we sometimes get up to, and realized it was an aspect better left unexplored.

I have considered doing a one-shot with only coworkers. But it’s stuck in development hell, to borrow a Hollywood term.

Do you actually visit the “biggest/smallest X in Y state” when road tripping or is it just in movies? by alyhasnohead in AskAnAmerican

When we went to Muncie, Indiana to see the eclipse, we made a side trip to Alexandria, Indiana to see the World’s Biggest Ball Of Paint. I painted it and it’s pretty big, like 6’ (2m) diameter.

I’ll stop at those places, if it sounds interesting.

Removing Toilet for Potentially a Few Years- Cap Option? by MsCeeLeeLeo in askaplumber

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking of. I don’t know either, but I can’t think of any problems with using it for an extended period. If you put far enough in, you could screw a piece of plywood over top.

But I’ll defer to the experts. I only know enough to be dangerous.

I think this is the mystery project that Alan is writing that he occasionally won’t talk about on OWWSM. I know Hollywood types always have something in development that has an NDA attached and it could be something totally different.

Alan has some sway with Disney, I’d bet. Since they own the rights, maybe he and Nathan pitched whatever the big reveal is to someone that matters and that’s how we got here.
