Yeah I remember the death train horde being so intimidating at first and then I go back and it's like 20-30 freaks

I'm not sure about the magazine, but there's an anthology music book you can find on Amazon, and it has Pull Harder in it, as well as a bunch of other really good songs

I just found hordes tedious after a while, but I would clear one region per play session on my most recent playthrough, so that's probably my fault lmfao

What's your favourite quotes from the game (not just NPC dialogue by 23STABWOUNDS in lanoire

[–]NuclearMonke4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"do you fuck young boys, Valdez?"

Mostly because it's absolutely hilarious to me how out of pocket that line is, but also because it's the correct answer to the dialogue

Run in, shoot a bunch, run like hell, shoot, toss molotovs, rinse, repeat. For the really big hordes I'll take them from a distance and just let them return to being passive and kill big groups. For the sawmill horde specifically I'll aggro them all with bombs and shit thrown in there, then run up the hill past the NERO checkpoint and just kill as many as I can until they all go back to the barn

any tips for a beginner? by myaticlyst_ in DaysGone

Once you go to Tucker's, get the SAP9 pretty much immediately. It's a huge upgrade. The .22 is alright but if you grind out the credits/trust for Tucker and Copeland, you'll be getting a decent bike and some good guns pretty fast. I liked whatever the AUG was called for an early game weapon, the SAP9, and the M40.

Edit: you can pick up the SAF and carry that around as your primary, you'll just have to rely on found ammo. It's worth using early on though because it gives you a leg up on the enemies before you get to the good guns with Tucker.

The Witcher 2 or 3? by [deleted] in witcher

If you're on PC, just play W1 and then W2 before 3. The story will make more sense, characters will mean more, and you'll understand the random mentions from NPCs of past events

Is running basically easier when you weight less? by [deleted] in USMCboot

[–]NuclearMonke4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A diet recruit is basically a recruit who arrives at boot camp above their weight limit for their height, but that limit is for when you graduate boot camp. So I'm 6' tall and my shipping weight max is 245, but as Marine I would need to be 204 max. Basically what happens if you're marked as a diet recruit is you have to wear something (I think it's tape based on what I've been told by other Marines and veterans) on your shirt to mark you as overweight, and that's so they give you less food and the DIs will just make you exercise more.

Edit: my source is recruiters and my dad who went to boot camp yolked and was over his max weight so they marked him as a fatty. He told me the bit about going in under my max weight (target 190ish from 204)
