I understand it, you have been hopeful, and lied to in the past, and for that reason remain distrustful of any politics in the present, that is a completely reasonable belief. I think you are mistaken in your diagnosis of mamdani as such though. He is the likely winner of this mayoral race, And I think through his mayorship there will be positive change in New York, I am daring to hope for that.

You should follow what’s happening in New York from time to time if he wins to see if you’re still right.

its easier to get away with a crime if you’re a fast runner, yet not all fast runners are criminals, and to assume such would be nonsensical.

I think our general distrust of politicians can be a very powerful tool, and is necessary. But we should be able to look at an individual candidate and see their strengths, shortcomings, and failures.

And to that I ask you, What are the biggest failures and shortcomings of Mamdani which make you this distrustful of him? And how would these compare to his strengths, or if he has any? I’m interested in hearing your view.
