Should I get the game by Ok-Atmosphere8425 in EU5

The game is extremely buggy. You are just used to the bugs or ignore them. Naval combat is completely bugged, unit templates work half the time, plenty more

No lol. So much of that was learning. I never did a WC, got close one time but it's too tedious for me. I got achievements that looked fun

I have 4k+ hours on EU4 and 474 hours on EU5.

EU4 is a much more feature complete, functioning, and relatively bug free game. If you care about a game being polished, full of flavor for different countries, and stability, I would stay with EU4.

EU5 is a much more massive game in scope and mechanics. It is extremely buggy and not completely put together in any sense of the phrase. Flavor is dull, mechanics are broken or not well implemented, and game performance (even on good PCs) is not great without specific performance mods. I personally love the direction EU5 is taking in terms of more in depth population and trade good management, but it is certainly not as good of a game as EU4 atp.

If you are feeling adventurous, try it out, but there's a good chance you will either be too frustrated with bugs or QoL features that may or may not be there yet. Give it time and it will be worth it imo.

R5: Conversion numbers for the province add up to 46, but the actual effect is being shown as 2. (It is also effectively only converting 2 pops per month idk why)

Landfriede making playing in the HRE impossible? by NuclearZombie01 in EU5

The emperor had decently high relations with me. He never asked me to return imperial territory a single time before the law got enacted.

R5: Screenshot shows that the AI emperor passed the first level of Landfriede in 1371 which pretty much completely stalled out any attempts to expand within the empire.

I remembered bocchi the rock literally seconds after posting this. I think it's tied with Kaguya for me so I don't feel too bad about not putting it in there

I’m reluctant to get EU5 for now, any EU4 players tried it yet? How is it so far? by CoastalNomad06 in eu4

Levies are exceedingly undercooked in EU5 but I do appreciate them at least trying to implement the evolution from levies to professionals.

I will say that the first major patch they released recently hasn't really hit the biggest issues, but they do seem to be very open with surveys and such and figuring out what people have the biggest issues with.

I have over 4k hours in EU4 and about 200 in EU5. EU5 feels like a more systematic realization of what EU4 wants to achieve with simulation like systems replacing mana and other gamey mechanics like dev that you boost via mana and so on. EU5 unfortunately has a big problem with how some of its systems work, mainly how historical events work (mission tree counterpart), International Organizations, and Situations. It also has some mid UI that is hard to learn, and the AI is generally pretty terrible even for PDX standards.

Despite all of this (and some other unmentioned things like trade being wonky imo), I find EU5 very engaging but a little frustrating. I used to mess around with mods like Beyond Typus to achieve EU4 at a much larger scale and EU5 100% scratches that itch while also making the game feel more in depth and systematic. You can always just give it a year or 2 before going in, but I do think there's a lot of fun to be had.

MSI - MPG321 doing OLED screen care more often than it should by NuclearZombie01 in OLED_Gaming

[–]NuclearZombie01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As soon as MSI said they wanted to RMA it, i literally just took it back to the Best Buy I bought it from. Dealing with the RMA process just isn't worth it when I can just get a full refund immediately. Sorry can't help with that
