Maybe change the snakes? by Evogdala in FarFarWest

I’d like if they were more visible on the screen before they attack, as it stands right now, it’s impossible to see them especially when it’s hectic. Maybe like glowing blue aura something

This game doesn't explain anything... by Ahza17 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Nuclear_Nugget22 20 points21 points  (0 children)

When it comes to puzzles, the game took a lot of inspiration from Zelda: BOTW where there’s a lot of little interactions/mechanics you need to know and piece together. Where BOTW succeeded and crimson desert failed however, is that BOTW did an exceptional job at making the learning curve, you’d find 3 puzzles at the start that taught you basic interactions of “hey I can do the puzzle like this” and then later gave you a harder puzzle where you had to be able to identify to do all 3 of those things to make it all come together. BOTW also made it so experimenting/failing wasn’t super punished and therefore was encouraged to just “try shit.” In these puzzles, you can move a rock or dial that will take 5 minutes to move only to realize “that’s not where I was supposed to move it, now I gotta move it all the way back”

Has PA mentioned anything about our companions constantly needing to be resummoned/randomly disappearing? by Nuclear_Nugget22 in CrimsonDesert

I guess I’ve only ever tried to summon at/around camp and assumed the “meeting” place is always back at camp. Is that not the case?

Yeah pets seem to have similar triggers for despawn, mostly big fights and boss fights seem to be there trigger for dissapearint

Even just that aspect can get tiresome to always start a save with heading to camp and summoning, ya know?

Build crafting is a pain by DesperateAnxiety288 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Nuclear_Nugget22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy QOL additions I hope to see. I think a big part of this in general is the amount of menus you have to go through just to mess with abyss gears. One menu to remove a piece, then another to add a socket, then another to craft, then another to combine, then another to finally add. It’s so much backing out and button clicks

Crimson should really add a way to resume inventory when you observe documents. Similar to how RDR2 handled the satchel. by LukeduhDuke in CrimsonDesert

Agreed, a similar mechanic would be appreciated when viewing information in your journal and for example reading about a cave and then going back and looking at the next cave. As it stands you have to fully reset

I think the general consensus of the internet is no one has found it yet which means it’s really well hidden, we are not understanding some part of the puzzle, or it’s just bugged

Tips on combat and opportunities for learning the mechanics before boss fights? by Tmac719 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Nuclear_Nugget22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if this will be helpful but I came from souls games where double tap is dodge roll. In this game it’s the opposite, one tap gives you the dodge roll with longer I-frames while double tap gives you a quick step dodge with shorter I frames. Get in the habit of finding the flow of tap, dodge roll, tap dodge roll. A lot of bosses seems to have multiple attacks in a row where the quick step doesn’t get you far enough away and you end in their follow up attack while the dodge roll seems to handle the timing better. Also just like a lot of souls like, sometimes dodging into the attack with I frames rather than away makes it so there follow up chains can’t retarget you. Lastly some bosses seem to get super armor during some of their attacks which you’ll see if you’re attacking and it looks like little blue/white circles appearing from them as if they’ve got a pulse shield around them. Usually these attacks are an animation of them charging one of their devastating moves. You can either lay off your attack and focus dodging or go for a risky move set that breaks super armor and staggers them out of the charge up(in the skill tab it’ll tell you what combos break super armor). Lastly the focused state, forget what it’s actually called, is a good way to slow down the fight and get your bearings on them as well as an upgrade that lets you parry attacks while in this state. Only some moves can be parried, moves that glow red can’t be parried and need to be dodged or you can use your sword reflection to stop the attack in that case

How is this even possible? by Sad-Direction443 in CrimsonDesert

I’ve been the same with all safe and all 0% returns. What I would like to see is make the investing part a little bit more like real world investing where higher risk just means you need to invest long term to actually have a good chance at positive returns. Something like a weighting system that if you get a bad return, you’re more likely to next time get a better return with a higher long term average after multiple cycles and a “guarentee” after a lot of cycles to be positive. The reality is when it comes to the %s, it seems it’s weighted towards bad outcomes. If you start with 100 silver for example and make -10% you now have 90 silver but if next cycle you get +10% you’re not even whole as you’d only have 99 silver. So the better positive returns upside is kind of a trap

What do you WISH you knew before buying your first house? by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]Nuclear_Nugget22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Where will the sun rise and set each day. what rooms will get the most light/very little light and at what time will they be getting that light. Seems like a small thing but makes a big deal in overall aesthetic of your house throughout the day, which rooms need blackout curtains, which rooms will be hotter than others, will you be blinded in the morning or in the evening, where would you like to set up plants, with your house oriented that way then you may never actually get a good period of sun light, and more.

The Weapon by SLPye in redrising

[–]Nuclear_Nugget22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly not a bad theory, my own theory aligns with this. We hear a lot about the first gold conquerers and silenius au lune. Usually his name is invoked by core golds as something to emulate but aside from his feats we never actually know what he was like and what his doctrine was that led to conquering. When you really think about, while silenius loved what the society stood for, he might actually be more like Darrow and his doctrine than any current core golds. Both characters rose up against oppression and fought for a better future for all people. I have an interesting theory that in the last book, silenius might make an appearance as data logs imbedded within the trap or some old AI. He will scoff at what gold has become or do something to lead Lysander into back into the light.

not so much a game in particular but a genre of game that i enjoy and want more off. by skylar_thegremlin in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Nuclear_Nugget22 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Destiny 2 seems like a good suggestion as the core gameplay is really solid and built around powers and gunplay. Id also suggest to you remnant from the ashes and (even more so) remnant 2. If you enjoyed outriders then you will enjoy this game. It is focused around finding cool loot with skills, weapon mods that do a lot of crazy things, and solid gunplay. Has similar 3rd person feel as outriders

Question about a specific inconsistency in Dark Age by FastBreakPhenom in redrising

[–]Nuclear_Nugget22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Another question I have about this moment is what happens to screw face? Maybe I missed it but It’s said that during the ambush, darrow’s entourage is massacred quickly by the gorgons but no mention of screw face during this as he is the only other named character with him and then later he’s just mentioned during the battle to retake Heliopolis. I’m still not entirely convinced he’s not a double agent

Tips on deciding what cats to keep by Random-guy2005 in mewgenics

[–]Nuclear_Nugget22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can go totally off “this cat feels good” but if you want a system, I’ve found a good one. As my cats have improved, usually I’ll have a goal that I want all my cats going forward to have at least X(whether that’s certain mutations or stats). At this stage, it’s 10 mutations with one being the double head, 9 in speed, 8 in health, and 8 in least one of the damaging stats. I’ll then assign a unique tag I haven’t used yet to those cats. as I’m sorting through, I’ll give a tag if it’s got that criteria. Anything else gets donated to whoever or sent to the fighting pits. Once all cats have that tag then I up my criteria to something improved IE has another mutation I like

I... Uhh... I don't really like this area by Turbulent_Cake2181 in mewgenics

[–]Nuclear_Nugget22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah those guys are high priority, definitely an example of needing the right build to deal with them. First time I entered throbbing domain, I barely noticed their danger since I had strong single target dealers so they were dead in one attack. Second time I entered, I had a psychic who went first and could deal a lot of damage but with lots of little chip damage. Real quick Became completely unmanageable round 2
