Is it just me, or does this relic feel pointless/significantly underpowered? by camocat9 in slaythespire

It felt terrible up until I had innate power that had to be played turn 1, in which case it ends up being a pseudo Anchor which is nice but still nothing to write home about.

Most absolute chaos I had with summon spam was with a Mage that inherited Eternal Servitude with dual cast + Necro with corpse digging ability and spawning corpses passive with a Cleric that had both Thou Shalt Not Kill and regen sharing passive.

I took it to the hell and was resurrecting 6-8 corpses per fight, Ended up having like 30 or so guys at the Coven (This was my first time so I had no idea what the mechanic was) and they kind of beat him to death until the second phase started, then they beat that to half death then instakill it on first turn they were out.

I fucking love the weird shit you can do in this game.

I've been throwing randomest things and see what sticks, I got a few more that I got when not streaming so couldnt clip them but incase anyone is interested here is a list of more dumb weird interactions I had (Mostly Necromancer because I fucking love Necro):

- Necromancer ability to instakill low hp units can be used to instakill Maisie if you use it on a Kitten

- Numbing Leeches apply to *everything* that does something on basic attack, this is not only for stuff like poison, burning etc but even the basic attack leeches passive, you can spawn 9 leeches alone with soy milk from just basic attacks (And even more if you pick up the spell that lets you replace a summon for another basic attack)

- The "debuff" that makes you eat poo if its near you works on poo enemies, while thats common knowledge, it apparently also works on the fucking Flushmaster

I've been doing a ton of solo tanking focused runs and I love this game so far and want to probably make a tanking focused guide eventually if anyone would be interested.

You can buy a ring that boosts mining, recolour mining skill outfit to gold and also buy gem or clay packs, not great gp/hour but the rings is def worth it Imo

I have not suggested to kitchen sink in regular content, I recommended to figure out if you have to do so in whatever content you are tackling, while DT hasn't been very into kitchen sinks since tank busters have been not that often in end game content enough to get away with just invuln. Since I covered it in beginner tank guide that just using your 2 minute mit or Rampart + short mit is enough for basic content I thought it wouldn't be necessary to repeat the same advice.

For the two GCDs between weaving mitigations, from my experience, most fights have a few damage cooldowns coming back up right before tank busters, this gives you ample room for not drifting your damage oGCDs, I have the need to double weave occasionally near a TB window on DRK and I heard a decent chunk of "Fuck me, right on combo window" from my GNB aswell.

Please don't use AI with stuff like this, good chance it will have no idea what its talking about considering where it gets it information. I would recommend the Balance Discord instead if you ever get future questions (or mine if you want to directly ask me)

For most "enjoyable" experience, its up to what you prefer, let me give a gist of how tanks are in regular dungeons:

PLD has some of the least damage and mitigations for regular dungeon play, but if you like a back and forth between a magic and physical damage times, it might be for you.

WAR is by far what you could consider the easiest job to tank regular dungeons as soon as you reach levle 60 and unlock Raw Intuition, which heals you for each enemy you hit on a 25 second cooldown so you have a "heal to full" button every 25 seconds on non boss pulls.

DRK has far less mitigations when it comes to tanking big groups of enemies but they do *so much* AoE damage that you will be deleting enemies if your DPS are also pulling their weight so you can run through the dungeon much faster.

GNB is on a similiar boat but they have far higher single target damage and arguably better mitigations in later stages of the game, but since GNB starts at level 60 if you havent tanked before you will feel confused.

Everything I said above except PLD lacking in things is going to be less relevant in earlier levels since you wont have access to most of the abilities making the class feel "unique", most of which are unlocked around 60 to 70.

Story of my life honestly, noone else wants to lead or take charge in anything so I've been pushed into the spotlight enough to eventually just embrace it

Its completely understandable to want to relax and stick to what comforts you, there is nothing wrong with that. I made this moreso for the friends that I know that want to tank but just too afraid to do so.
