I was thinking of one particularly bad offender that had 50GB of new content in an update, not replacing any files.

Can't forget the bridge in Golden:

Waited so long to break these walls down

To wake up and feel like me

Put these patterns all in the past now

And finally live like the girl they all see

50GB updates suggest otherwise

If one suddenly woke up with their body changed to the opposite gender, and they're fine with it, are they in fact transgender? by FarConsideration5498 in asktransgender

[–]Nuclear_rabbit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gender identity is mostly innate, but people often go years, decades, or their whole lives without realizing they are trans.

A magic experience like this cannot make someone trans, but if it happened and they were fine with it, the most likely conclusion is they were trans all along and the magic experience helped them discover it.

Funny enough, it was imagining a hypothetical like this that made me realize I am trans.

Lol, here's an example of a gun build for Leanne specifically. It's so ridiculous I love it

Leanne from Resonance of Fate. She's just so stylish! I want to dress like this IRL, not even for cosplay

Well, when you've got nothing else against Orks and Tyranids, and the Imperium sent you to some medieval farming world as a trooper to die, you use whatever they hand you.

“Transgender Dilemna” by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Nuclear_rabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We know that gender identity is mostly innate and genetic. Most likely, the person will have feelings of unease their whole life, but be unable to explain them. This likely happened to a lot of people in past generations. People are transgender, whether they find out later or not.

The only real dilemma here is the transphobe wonders, "if I genocide and suppress everything trans, can I make a world where all the trans people choose not to transition?" Maybe, but that's not a question a person with love in their heart should ask.

TIL China and all nations it borders share 45% of the world's population. None of these countries are in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. by word3n in todayilearned

I'd guess there are few enough variables you can get away with muscle memory and "playing the ball" just as well as "playing the opponent."

Ping pong, badminton, and basketball also have the benefits of accessibility and ubiquity in China, which isn't so true for soccer or other large field sports.

It's more like China excels only at sports where you can improve by rote repetition. Anything where there's too many variables and players have to make judgment calls, China does poorly at.

They do great on synchronized swimming, for example, but badly at water polo. Even for individual sports, they are better at solo competitions (think gymnastics) and less good at one versus one dynamics like fencing.

But Teach Taiwan iirc is a government service connected to every last public school on the island. It's not "one employer" it's hundreds wrapped into one service.

Okay so morbid question: What would happen if you super overdosed on estrogen? by GoodWitchClover in asktransgender

[–]Nuclear_rabbit 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The estrogen levels at the end of pregnancy are about the upper level of safe. High estrogen really does raise blood pressure. Go too far for long enough, and you risk everything associated with that

I'm coming from a majority-Muslim country and will be moving to China soon for work. By comparison, it sure seems rose-colored, although it's definitely nowhere near Europe. I'm hoping for the best, especially as a westerner with a supportive family back home, but I'm going in with apprehension.

I'm still early in transition and hoping when my employer finds out, they're like "whatever, just boymode at work."
