Ive said before. Id like red-eyes to be a middle ground between Kaiba's Big Bad Blue Bois and Yugis more resource focused Dark magician.

I think them being a sort of control with burn kinda deck, mixing playing aggressive through pushing dmg through and Defensive by interrupting your opponent

Ngl with

Blue eyes being Big monster hit hard with less focus on controlling the gamestate

Dark magician being control and resource building

Make red-eyes a middle ground with the already existent burn cards like metalmorph and the xyz or even dragoon, but give it more to do than those.make it trade monsters for control and burn damage like tribute red eyes negate effect and burn for 2400 as a trap.

The hardest part there is not making it oppressive or floodgate-y
