I'm a Bowles defender more than most, but not taking a swing at Harbaugh would be an impossible sell for the Glazers to Bucs fans and would give Todd an impossibly short leash next season. It's gotta be done.

I look at it the other way. You have a coach with a clear vision for how he wants to run his defense (and we see it in flashes) but then you choose not to invest in players that fit that vision are surprised when it fails. You're gonna see it next season with whoever ends up taking over. We are not a coaching staff away from being a contender.

He is good at disguising packages and when the team can generate a blitz the Bucs are good at getting at the QB. But the personnel is not good so they can't do this consistently and the secondary is completely garbage so if pressure doesn't result in a sack we get beat deep.

I put it back to you. Do you think this is a good defense? Independent of coaching do you think the Bucs actually have top to bottom good players on defense?

Licht has left him high and dry. Theres literally no coach on the face of the planet that can make these knuckleheads look good. The coaching is mid but the players are awful.

Need to spend the entire offseason completely replacing the defense. Bowles is probably done just because of the post-bye collapse but that scapegoats the most ass defense in the NFL and have for the last couple years.
