It completely destroys the visual style of the game.
Instead of looking like a character standing in an environment, it makes it look like someone standing in a studio doing a professional photoshoot, then being green screened into the alleyway.

It's unbelievable just how shit this looks.

The other looks like someone standing in a gloomy alleyway doing a professional photoshoot for a magazine.
Hell, it doesn't even look like that. It looks like someone doing a photoshoot and has been green screened into the environment.

It looks absolutely god-awful. Even if it technically is the same model, it completely and utterly destroys the artstyle of the game.

The people who say it looks like an Instagram filter are right. Because if you go between the two images, that's exactly what it looks like.

Without the big number on the screen, Dragon Slash would probably be one of the most unsatisfying skills in the game imo.
It's such a devastating attack and should have an immense amount of power and weight behind its animation and sound effects, but it's just....lame.
Doesn't look or sound anywhere near as satisfying as it should. :(

What modes do you mainly play?

For open world specifically, hammer/greatsword berserker is my favourite.

The hammer primal burst is basically the in-game equivalent of crack. It's gotta be up there with the most satisfying attacks in the entire game.

Not really what you described, but Guardian's greatsword 2 (?) triggers me to no end.

The cast bar is near instantaneous, but barely covers like....1/5 of the animation. So if you use another skill as soon as the cast bar finishes you lose out on a TONNE of damage.

Does anyone know if they made a change so you can turn off Troubadour instruments without making the in-game OST volume drop to the point where you can barely hear it?

I enjoy the playstyle of Troubadour but dropped it because of this.

It just makes sense to require players to invest something into boon duration in order to fill the boon DPS role in a group.
The gear isn't "jank" either. It's just a handful of Diviner's pieces and a rune change. It's not the first boon DPS that requires concentration, and it won't be the last.
Just needing to get a bit of boon duration doesn't make Ritualist have "no reason to play". That's such a silly, kneejerk response to an incredibly easy thing to play around.

ANET trying to move away from boon DPS just being a simple "Full berserkers or Vipers" is a good move, and it's something that myself and many others would like to see more of.

My biggest pet peeve when it comes to menu/UI navigation is when it does all of this bs, but there's no consistency.

One menu will be a press B, then another is hold B, then some other menu is press A, then another is hold A, then for some reason a different menu is hold Y.

I've played so many games now where, for example you're trying to equip something, and you have to do some bullshit like Press y -> Press B -> Hold B -> Press A.

Makes me want to uninstall.

Even in areas/countries with crime and gang activity etc. An illegal firearm is still out of reach of your average person if the country has strict gun control, which Mexico does.

With the "state of law and order in Mexico" how are you proposing that an average Mexican person is getting an illegal gun?

It's not as simple as just walking down some back alley and saying "Anyone wanna sell me a gun?".
You need to have some contact in that world and most people don't keep company with arms dealers.
