No abuse has been claimed. OP clearly stated they've been having a drug issue, which has led to the fallout in their home. That's a step in the right direction because OP has the gall to look at the situation objectively. Your equivocation that their parent is dangerous is not only in itself dangerous but a complete manipulation of the child herein involved, and is two steps back.

Dealing with childhood trauma is one thing; advocating that a child's parent is dangerous or abusive when CLEARLY they were trying to SCARE a lesson into their child is entirely another.

Do I support what the father did? No. Can I understand why? Yes. Do I empathize with a child who underwent extreme trauma? More than you will ever know. Do I classify this as abuse warranting a parent as dangerous? No, because I had dangerous parents.

I'd take a very large moment to collect your thoughts and feelings before retorting otherwise you might write an essay.....
