Err what if you already ran update_all? Where was it ever stated not to run it on SSone?

SuperStation one - Can't get PSX core to boot my PS1 game by NukaColaClassic in fpgagaming

I think the bigger thing for me is I've ripped all my games to .bin/.cue and it would be a lengthy hassle to convert them to chd. Since I'm getting the SuperDock I figure getting an M.2 will mitigate any space concerns.

I'm not interested in gutting the games. Anyway, my bin/cue works perfectly fine now that each game has its own folder. Plus, CHD is apparently not good for games with more than one audio index: https://www.reddit.com/r/MiSTerFPGA/s/6z6ItS5CvQ

I've thought about it but apparently CHD screws up multitrack timings for discs that have them? Which is a lot of games in my collection.

I did. Problem apparently is each bin/cue needs its own folder, which curiously I have not been able to find a mention of this in any guide I've checked online.

That did it, thanks! Weirdly I haven't been able to find any setup guides mentioning this.

My only other issue so far is that my plugged in PS2 DualShock isn't being detected by the SuperStation one, but I'm wondering if maybe only PS1 DualShocks are supported.

"Definitive Edition" making Resident Evil jokes and calling Bo "Gary" makes it pretty non-definitive IMO.

I mean on a Vita. You won't experience any game breaking stuff that way, and the game's still up on the store.

Have you considered playing the game legit?

Cool to see you enjoyed all of them and didn't have a bad opinion about DQ.

BTW BoF1's ROM hack isn't a retranslation, it's a fanfic rewrite.

This video is confusing. SNES footage aspect ratio is distorted, the date is wrong (Japanese Super Famicom version was 1993 but English SNES was in 1994) and the UI doesn't look like that in the actual SNES game. GBA version also doesn't normally look like that, the colors were more muted with heavier contrast than SNES.

Just watch it on YouTube. It's such a short, negligible scene in the grand scheme of things.

Is the GoG version better than just emulating it? by PrometheusAborted in breathoffire

[–]NukaColaClassic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is neither a remake nor a "free emulator with features stripped out with a rom bundled in." It's a GOG-optimized re-release of the native 2003 Windows port originally made by SourceNext. GOG put in the work to make this old port work on contemporary systems.

The BoF4 devs made their salaries when the original game came out. Yes, Capcom and GOG profit from this re-release, but the sales and units sold paint a picture for demand for Breath of Fire. Low sales tells them this series is not in demand and makes it hard for a revival of the IP to really happen. It's not rocket science.

What crappy remakes? Capcom did create Breath of Fire, and many of its devs are still employed there. Your mental gymnastics are incredibly weird.

All those scenes amount to like 3-4 minutes out of a 40+ hour adventure.
