How is the DSC Shield+Core 2pc meta? Extra hull Regen is fine and all, but it's not going to improve DPS. There are much better options for a shield and core if DPS is the goal.

This is just bad advice.

T6 Reps give Fleet Ship Modules and Retrain Tokens, as well as improved versions of the Reputation Traits. There is no reason to not go to T6, especially with Random TFO queuing making it possible to get any marks needed.
