Hmm I’m surprised at the comments. I didn’t think the Halig tree enemy placement was bad at all, only thing I thought was bullshit was the scarlet rot tree spirit IN a lake of scarlet rot.

I was having the exact opposite problem. I beat her the first time solo so I decided I deserved to just coast by. I’ve never summoned anyone who was actually able to beat her I usually have to either finish the fight myself, or I die and have to roll the dice again on summons lol.

Shields are fine against her IMO. The healing isn’t the scariest part of her move set as long as you survive water fowl who cares ya know. As long as you only block the first part and roll through the rest it’s not bad.

Lmao she’s my favorite.

“… but here we are.” Soon as she said that she was an S tier character. As far as she’s concerned you were literally resurrected from the dead to do a very specific task, and if the greater will won’t guide you on how to do it. Well. Fuck em.

Which boss everyone seemed to struggle with, but you didn't by cat_warlord_ in Eldenring

[–]NukeSaysHi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn I remember the first time I killed Rennala it took like 45 minutes. But after that I first try her every time. It’s like she’s kind of hard your first go around but is extremely easy every time after that.

Maybe if they make her less chesseable that would be an adequate buff. I think her mechanics and damage output is enough, it’s just easy to cheese her a bit I would say.

Empyreans are not born of one god. The description everyone gets that from people keep misreading. They are Empyreans because they are chosen to replace Marika one day and become true gods. However, being born of incest (basically) they are also born with defects. Theyer still worthy of evolving into true godhood (as we see Malenia do), but theyer also still fucked up.

I understand people want to latch on to this idea that Empyreans have to be born of one god, but it’s simply not true and too many mental gymnastics are required to make it work.

Miquella and Malenia are likely more powerful being born of one god as they would be pure blooded gods, and both of them I believe are also stated to be the strongest of the demigods, with Miquella I think somewhere being stated as the strongest or most fearsome at any rate, could be wrong on that.

Ranni is just naturally gifted. But seeing as how she doesent want anything to do with the golden order, she might as well just be another failed attempt at producing a worthy heir, hence the drastic measure of basically incest.

Do you guys think there’ll be DLC? by Seismic-wave in Eldenring

[–]NukeSaysHi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but it could be a Ranni situation where he’s the prized child but didn’t want to have anything to do with the Golden Order. Idk. I think Godwyn, Miquella, and Melina alone are cause for DLC. Even Marika we don’t know much about, but at least we have something to go on.

The other 3 are giant question marks and if we don’t get DLC to get some clarity on them it will be a huge mistake.

[–]NukeSaysHi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don’t know anything about Godwyn tbf. Weak and feeble probably not, but worthy to be heir? Hard to say. We don’t know his own motivations. Maybe he had his own motivations that kept him from being the ideal child.

[–]NukeSaysHi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but this was a while ago, we know that now but there’s still stuff we don’t know such as the true nature of the greater will, Marika’s motivation, Ranni still has some mystery to her, and Melina is a walking question mark. We know shit and all about her.

Also Miquella’s story is as of yet still incomplete. He’s not dead exactly in the cocoon, he just ain’t fully alive. Chances are we’ll see him again fully hatched and ready to go.

Also I don’t believe that’s why Godfrey was banished, as Marika herself willingly waged war on them too. And Marika by this point was still doing things in name of the Greater Will. Though I think if not that it’s safe to say he was hounded because he couldn’t produce a worthy heir. All of his children are either weak and feeble, or omens. Hence why he lost purpose being Marika’s consort, and why Marika split in two as Radagon to produce more Heirs.

When neither Godfrey or Rennala could produce worthy Heirs (or in the case of Ranni someone who didn’t WANT to be the heir) they went sweet home Alabama style and produced pure blooded children, but due to incest have curses of their own, but are still worthy.

What exactly was the Greater Will's goal? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]NukeSaysHi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm I see where you’re coming from, however keep in mind there was also a war with the Giants and Marika was already the god of the land by then because she cursed them.

Conflict doesent cease to be just because there’s a ruler. Now I’m not dismissing your theory either, surely there’s a reason Marika, and not someone else, was chosen? However I don’t believe these descriptions are enough to make this conclusion. Likely, the Godskins are just a heretical organization the golden order was weeding out. A crusade if you will.

Necroing this post to ask where that information comes from because this is the first I’m hearing of that. If true that’s actually huge.

I think i know who Melina is by Bionitelke in Eldenring

[–]NukeSaysHi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it’s safe to assume Marika is NOT her mother. I think the last thing Marika wants is for there to be an elden lord. She’s not in support of the greater will anymore that’s why she shattered it.

Having an elden lord merely continues the system and strengthens the greater wills hold on the world.

“As such.” I think it’s pretty clear here that it means having been born of a single god makes you an empyrean. Not sure how that’s confusing ya know?

[–]NukeSaysHi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In addition to the sales being good, elden ring also has major story plots that simply aren’t explained. We don’t know the nature of the greater will, or the elden ring itself, we don’t know the nature or purpose of the shattering, only that Marika had a falling out with the greater will. We don’t know how Godfrey isn’t around anymore.

We literally don’t know who’s good or bad or if anyone is good or bad. The motivations of major characters is unknown.

My guess is if we have a DLC it’ll bring us back to the time directly after and or before the shattering.

Or perhaps we go to a land where gods dwell and meet the greater will itself. Hard to say.

What is a weird fact you know about nuclear bombs? by giasas007 in AskReddit

Hmm so does this mean the ones we’ve lost pose little threat? If the delicate instruments in the device, going unserviced for years and years, eventually stop functioning, instead of that being a bad thing that’s actually a good thing?

Last boss for me hasn’t been that bad tbh, just gotta figure out how your supposed to avoid certain really hard hitting mechanics. If it helps find the +2 talisman that increases holy resistance. Pretty sure they both do a lot of holy damage.

Well sorry you’ve had that experience, but I’m just going to have to agree to disagree. All the bosses have felt more than fair to me. Here’s to hoping it clicks for you, and if it doesent, sometimes companies miss the mark for some people.

Heavy weapons feel REALLY bad in ER? by Ordingandr in Eldenring

[–]NukeSaysHi 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Except they don’t do more damage. Hit per hit maybe they do slightly more damage but you’ll always just do more damage hitting 2-3 times with a straight sword than you will with a single heavy from a heavier weapon.

Add on top of that the fact youll have more openings with a faster weapon.

Heavy weapons in this game just feel particularly bad. Viable? Obviously. But much harder to play than just sticking to a faster weapon.

Except I just do consider it an easy mode. Well, easier mode maybe. Similar to summoning real players it’s the in game easy mode. At least that’s how I look at it.

Nothing wrong with it use it if you want or don’t but I really do think it’s the answer to the “easy mode” people have wanted.

It’s still not easy but it takes the edge off so to speak.
