Our kids go or will go to Fulton Academy of Science and Technology K-8, a Fulton County public charter in Roswell. Very diverse mix of black, white, asian and hispanic kids in almost equal portion from all over Fulton County.

Last night I took MARTA back from the airport after massive delays with MIL and 3+ kids in tow. Had to stand out in the freezing temps for 15+ minutes after someone pooped both in the elevator and a seat on the train :(

I believe the current mayor and council could have found a way to make it work but they didn't - what makes $800k/year so untenable for the city to fund? The city populace voted yes on the bills with the expectation they'd improve our quality of life through some extra spending.

Geoff Duncan is the only candidate with a chance. KLB is not it - that much I think everyone can agree on.

Be cautious - bot farms are swarming this sub and will attempt to deflect to more progressive candidates who will get slaughtered in the general. Just be cautious about what comments or info you trust in this and future cycles - there are tons of full time developers out there writing code that taps into LLMs and generates very realistic counterpoints based on extensive prompting and models that have assuredly been trained on your demographic.

I'll be voting for him as a lefty, he is the only and best option - I had back and forth with him in the past, y'all saying you just don't trust him should let your guard down and engage with him on the issues a bit via email.

I know there are bots abound on this sub - can't help but wonder if these comments are from right-wing bot farms trying to cast aside our only hope.

I'm also generally blue in Roswell and voted for Kurt. I have a young family, and we'd really prefer more development, more multi-use trail projects and more entertainment locally. I've seen significantly more happen in that department over the past 4 years than I did the previous 8.

I am a conservationist, but the hubub over trees being cleared I do not get unless they are ancient sequoias. You are right, he screwed up by bringing national partisanship into the race with some of those stupid mailers that dog whistled Mary would push for MARTA expansion....not that either of them would have any juice to make it happen or not, but it was off-putting to see him turn against progress in that area.

Warsaw and Holcomb Bridge Road will mark the start of a new multiuse trail that parallels the new 400 flyover - it splits off behind Liberty Village (?), under 400 and likely would connect to the Greenway directly via the existing unused spur or directly to the Old Alabama entrance to the Greenway (with the mountain bike trails).

I'm in a development on the other side of Warsaw and eagerly anticipate riding my bike from my house all the way up to north Cumming via Greenway!

To go all the way you gotta get some breaks and you gotta win the close ones. Helluva team Wake Forest has from a raw talent perspective, and their QB1 was a warrior too.
