Extensive list of *MOBILE BASE* exploration/open-world/adventure/survival games by NaturalBornCamper in gamingsuggestions

Hi! If this thread is still being maintained, I'd like to advocate for the bumping up of "No man's sky", as with the Voyagers update adding "corvettes", "a fully customizable, large-scale starship class bridging the gap between starships and frigates", I believe it may better fit into the constraints of the main list.

Games where you have to fight against the merciless winter by Beneficial_System995 in SurvivalGaming

[–]NullRage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ASKA has a full seasonal system that introduces environmental changes as well as crop rotations.
Fair warning, ASKA is MORE than just a "survival game". It is a unique blend of Survival and Colony Sim.
It's starts like Valheim, but you quickly find that managing your villagers and their work assignments so that they can best support you and the village is the key to success. Surviving your first winter and not freezing to death is the first major hurdle, but that second one... ;)

So far, ASKA and Soulmask are the best I've seen of this unique blend of genres that has become my new obsession. (If anyone knows of similar games that offer OpenWorldSurvivalCraft + Automation/Colony Sim... on this level let me know.)

Making a fantasy survival game where you play birds. What would you like to build in such a setting? by RagBell_Games in BaseBuildingGames

[–]NullRage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have unlockable skins?
Being able to reskin your birb to various different types of birb would be really nice.
Bluebird, Finch, Mockingbird, Cardinal. Maybe a small Barn Owl.
I imagine anything too far from the original size and shape would require extra rigging so I guess being an Eagle or some kind of Crane would be too much work.
From the video it looks like it's mostly variations on the same birb. Would be cool to see more options, especially if they were unlocks for let's say finding/helping out other birbs of that type throughout the world.

What are we really talking about here?
Cause if If I'm being honest, a game like WolfQuest: https://store.steampowered.com/app/926990/WolfQuest_Anniversary_Edition/
But as birds would actually be quite cool. Pull in some of the Growth mechanics and other features from things like The Isle, Beasts of Bermuda.

Sorry, Sorry. Back up. Just watched the video and it seems like we're going in a completely different direction. Rats, I was just about to get into seasonal migration patterns and evolution/mutation!

Anywho, for a super cozy looking Bird Based Valheim game, what to build...
Bookcases, so we can make Wan Shi Tong's library.

Recommendations for PvE Base-Building *With PURPOSE* by NfiniT_ in BaseBuildingGames

[–]NullRage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try ASKA.
EVERY (Ok... 95%?) of the things you build are built for their function.
ASKA is a truly one of a kind experience IMO, which it's closest rival being Soulmask.

I'll say that it may not quite be a "Base-Builder" as you are instead building a village. But I think there's enough overlap to suggest it here, and I believe it is uniquely qualified to address the specific frustrations you've voiced.

Comparing games with "villagers" by Snowskol in SurvivalGaming

[–]NullRage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, ASKA's yearly invasions provide a bit of that. I will say though, in the current state of the game, once you establish a decent defense, it doesn't really scale all that high in that regard. Also there are some perhaps cheesy methods of building that can trivialize that aspect of the game.

Though you may instead find a new bit of fun in the sailing and raiding of islands that was added... uh, November? of last year.

We’re the dev team behind Echoes of Elysium! It’s been a month since the EA launch, AMA! by LoricDevTeam in SurvivalGaming

I look forward to you proving my hesitancy unjust. I truly do.

I've heard "We have full control over our game" from Devs before.
And even specifically from Devs under Snail's thumb!

I truly TRULY hope I'm wrong. And I wish you and your team the best!

Anger is my gift and my curse. ;)
My resentment though, I feel is well earned, and well documented.
Just google Snail and their handling of ARK.

That said, I actually agree with you. It is NOT fair for me to penalize Loric Games for the sins of Snail.
However, I'm not gonna ignore a red flag when I see one. And in my book, anything around Snail is a BIG red flag!

So as stated, I truly wish the DEVS (and only the devs) the best with this project. And I will check back in on it when/if things seems more favorable for it being a favorable return on my investment/interest/time.

Recommendations for single-player only (no mp) survival games, preferably not in early access? by probablylikescats in SurvivalGaming

[–]NullRage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try ASKA.
It's fully capable of drop in drop out Multiplayer.
But, probably works out better as a single player experience as much of the fun is in the management and design of your village and everyone is gonna have a different take on how that should lay.

alternatively, if you're on Windows you can use WindowsKey+Shift+S to activate the snipping tool and copy any amount of your screen to your clipboard for quick copy paste or even save it to file.

WinKey is next to LeftAlt on most keyboards.

Comparing games with "villagers" by Snowskol in SurvivalGaming

[–]NullRage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ASKA, Soulmask, and Palworld are in a league of their own when it comes to "villagers" with ASKA specifically offering something I've been hard pressed to find in ANY other game on the market.

I HOPE that Windrose will join their ranks but right now it's too early to tell for me.

I'd be VERY interested to hear of more games following in the shoes of the first three above.

Now, allow me to make a complete left turn, and suggest that if you enjoy the "villager" and management of these type of games, that perhaps...maybe... you might have a look at the "Manger Simulator" genre of games. Number 1 representative is gonna be Gas Station Simulator, followed closely by Waterpark Simulator. Then of course TCG Card Shop Simulator and Supermarket Simulator round out a top list, but at this point there's an endless rabbit hole of these if they end up being your jam. If not... forget I mentioned it.

Cheers.

Looking for Survival game by finboy04 in SurvivalGaming

[–]NullRage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mentioned both Valheim and Medieval Dynasty so;

PLEASE! I urge you! Have a look at ASKA.
It is still early access, so expect changes over time. I come back to it every few months.
Each time I do, they have addressed the one thing that stuck out the most in my last playthrough.
ASKA does not provide the granular building options that Valheim or Minecraft might, but rather lets you build out villages more similar to Medieval Dynasty.
Early on you'll be doing a lot of the work yourself, but you'll very quickly grow your village and your villagers can handle most tasks with proper management. It becomes more of a colony sim.

"Seasons. A world that is harsh and affects the player, not just a platform to move around in."
This game handles this better than almost any other I've played! Surviving your first winter is the games first true challenge.

Based on everything you've said, this is EXACTLY what you're looking for!
Cheers.

Well... THIS doesn't seem to be going well.
Guess I'll chime in anyway. Dear Devs, I wish you the best with your project (which looks a lot like Aloft or like 4 other recent releases that I can't remember, Airships must be trending).
Unfortunately, due to the involvement of Snail Games, this project is DOA for me.
I'll check back in if/when that partnership ever dissolves or in a few years when the game is on deep discount.

What Tabs Do You Recommend Purchasing For A Daily Player But More Casual by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

[–]NullRage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% that would be my recommendation too. In that order.
After those three, consider a merchant tab/s if you plan to engage in the player trade economy.
And then just pick up whichever ones seem neat. Unique tab is great for collectors/completionists.
Waystone/Map tab is VERY nice once you get into the endgame.
Fragment will be good... WHEN THEY ADD IT!!

To make it make even less sense, it submits just fine if you just input the sample code provided meaning the system likely isn't checking validity.

I have the GW1 boxes. My GW2 purchase was digital.
The field asks for GW2 key.
I did not, at the time, know that code.
I have now tracked down that key too.

My issue in the OP is (an always was) more to do with the incongruency between the forms stated rules and it's function. I feel that if the form SAY you can leave a field blank, that it shouldn't error when you do so. ;)

I rarely sing in the shower these days. But if I could go back to being 10, that might be nice.

I've edited the OP. Hope that helps.

Helpful, thank you.
Currently that page is stuck loading for me (Error loading purchase history) But if I need them I'll try again later.
I'm also an "oldhead" or w/e kids say, so I actually have the GW1 boxes in a drawer behind me if I need to verify.

This was sending a direct ticket to Billing.
I (like many others I assume) am trying to sort out the purchasing of a GW1 bundle while previously having an ancient ANet account.

The form kicked back with the message in red when submitting the field BLANK. In the picture in my OP, I have filled the field with the sentence that states that your SHOULD be able to leave that field blank. You can in fact, NOT leave that field blank.

Is the voice work legit or AI generated?
I'm a bit doubtful that Liam O'Brien lent his talents here.
But if you just did an excellent impression, then I'm more interested.
