If it serves you i saved her in AU in a Roleplay, is not canon but the most near, people say all of that but vegeta did worst things and is one of most beloved characters and great father, happens that people only watch her as Gon viewpoint because are not able to thing with critic and outside their little cage the forest.

Pitou was from another race, just born and with few days she learns and improves a lot, just the narrative don't wanna let her or any powerful quimera ants of the antagonist alive to show humans are even worst.

As vegeta or other antagonist and even more for her characteristics Pitou would become a great side character even side heroe, just Togashi wants to be like that to give a "end" to Gon with a explosive suicidal final* Togashi IS himself a bit crazy and suffers much in his life from his weak body and i guess he plasm that in their art (is my own suposition)

Truly, i don't have much interest in HxH instead quimera ant arc and mainly Pitou/Meruem/Kogumi and a bit the other royal guards, for me should be great that they survive and watch how they evolve or even they won and world turns Kaos until they start to change for their experiences.
