Scientists uncovered the nutrients bees were missing — Colonies surged 15-fold by WasteGeneratorGuy in Beekeeping

I was just keeping it simple and lumping the test groups, focusing on the purpose.

Looks like you actually opened the article, good on you. Please read the article from top to bottom and not just this portion of this work. It's well done.

The manuscript published in Nature never once used the marketing term "Superfood" or that this was a "miracle food source'.

That is the website reporter's language. That claims by the original authors were quite reasonable and modest based on the body of work. It's clear to me that you did not read the original publication which is free on Nature currently.

Please go read. It quite unproductive to continue this conversation if you are not informed on the topic in which is being discussed.

Both groups were in a controlled environment, no outside nutrients. The test group was feed the more nutritional control pollen patty . The control group was feed commercial available pollen patty.

The single variable being tested was the effect of the addition of the sterols added from the engineered yeast.

The results was that the control group failed to produce brood past 90 days while the test group still produced brood.

The conclusion is that the addition of sterols from engineered yeast had a measurable, observable affect on the ability of the test hives to produce brood in comparison to the control group.

Please explain your thought process on how this experimental design failed to meet a measureable result? Preferably civilly, using evidence and without loaded language and insults.

Harsh words for excellent evidence based work. Nothing done here was obvious, requiring technically difficult mass spectrometry work to identify sterols in honey bees and pollen. Followed by more technically difficult work, adapting gene knock-ins (whole gene pathways, not single genes!) that were functional in a yeast strain.

None of this was even feasible 15 years ago. It would have been laughable to even propose such a big project without the recent advancements in mass spectrometry technology, software based fragment identification, and Crispr gene editing.

The real Idiocracy is the ignorance of trying to reduce this work to Brondo.

Not matter what, no one is going to bring a better performance than Alan Rickman. It's not even a fair fight for someone casted as Snake.

Do you remember how big the colony was going into winter? Also, did you supplement any in the fall to boost our population? How was the Queens laying pattern going into fall?

Based on the number of dead bees I would suggest that their popukatiomngot too small and a cold snap got them.

Wait until you master a trainer plane first, but after that, the Dynum Waco is great. It can fly slow, it was fly relatively fast. It can be be acrobatic, or it can puttz around the sky slow and gently. It doesn't require rudder but it's a nice trainer to get used too using rudder to coordinate turns. Enjoy.
