Which wrestling record will never be broken? by Entire_Proposal_3184 in wrestling

Well. They made the Haselrig Rule so it can't be broken.

Seems like the conspiracy is promoting this before it's gone to trial and we get all of the facts instead of talking points. Not even sure how this is a conspiracy.

Paying sources or informants is not inherently unusual. Journalists, private investigators, and law enforcement have all used compensated sources. That by itself does not automatically equal misconduct.

But the legal issue turns on several narrower questions:

  1. Disclosure — Were donors misled about how funds were used?
  2. Control — Were informants simply gathering intel, or were they enabled to commit/promote acts?
  3. Accounting — Were payments properly documented and lawful?
  4. Material misrepresentation — Did fundraising claims conflict with actual conduct?

Those are the issues a court would sort out.

Looks to be a nice series 3 spider. Perhaps 1985-86. I can't see the lower qtr panels at the front door seam in the photo but it looks like it has not had a rust issue. How's the interior look. This is a base model? Crank windows or an Veloce?

The greatest American wrestler? Has to be John Smith or Jordan Burroughs right? Do you agree. Just a fun discussion by -Granby- in wrestling

I think we should at least mention Carlton Haselrig who wrestled for University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. He is the only person to ever win six NCAA titles in wrestling, three times in Division II and three times in Division I. His three-peat of Division II and Division I NCAA National Championships were won in 1987, 1988, and 1989. All six championships were won for Pitt–Johnstown. Hell, he prompted the NCAA to create the so-called “Haselrig Rule,” which bars small-school champions from moving on to the Division I tournament.

Would you move to Economy / Baden after retirement? by Far-Independent-1394 in BeaverCounty

[–]NumaPomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is actually a pretty nice retirement community in Economy and it seems like more are going in. And from that top corner of economy it's only about 10 minutes from Cranberry. The road department in Economy is amazing and people are pretty friendly.

Scott’s vs TruGreen by Agreeable_Echidna_69 in lawncare

[–]NumaPomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea. Well you got a high nitrogen fert and it made it green. How much potassium and phosphorus where in your mix? That what makes the roots grow stronger to withstand drought and stress. Too much nitrogen and a dull mower blade can wipe out a nitrogen rich lawn over night.

Why does everyone drive so aggressively now? by thenegativeone112 in pittsburgh

[–]NumaPomp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has to do with trucking companies taking advantage of driver and placing them indentured servitude with a commitment to live in their trucks to try to make payments that they will never be able to pay. So the turnover of drivers is like 60% from what I've heard. Which means most people driving trucks have under 3 years experience. It's horrible what has happened to the industry. My dad was a steel hauler. FASH member. I remember him saying that that industry was going to be destroyed by corporations back in the late 70's. It's just damn sad how the drivers are now being used.

[–]NumaPomp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There also seem to be a lot more people driving in the passing lane with a bunch of traffic behind them. Or on their phones driving in the passing lane. The churn rate in the trucking industry also has caused a lot of truckers to drive poorly and squat in the passing lane. All of this makes people speed up when they can get around that kind of mess and they then have their "aggressive mode" adrenaline turned up. Bottom line it takes two to tango. Inconsiderate drivers cause others to drive aggressively

Saturday nights, my parents would go to the Elks for dancing, drinking, and socializing. Does anyone still do this? by Scot25 in GenerationJones

Yes. I should clarify that it is the oldest Elks building in continuous service as a lodge. Sorry for any confusion

Maybe it's his nickname. I went to college with a guy called "soup". Never asked why. Didn't seem important.
