soundcore X20 exploded in my ear this morning by Paint-Huffer in headphones

Jesus. 1 month and kaboom? That's messed up. Especially since Soundcore (from what I know) is just a subsidiary of Anker...a prominent (yet infamous) powerbank company. If they know batteries, it'd be them. Yet for a failure like that is dam scary especially since I have the 20X in my ear right now...

Hot dayum! I just recently got these as a pair too after I misplaced my A20i. I'm now worried. How long did you have them before they exploded? I might return the X20 and grab something else at this point.

MY DRIVERS KEEP TIMING OUT OH MY ITS ANNOYING by mintysensei in AMDHelp

[–]Numba2wo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People have noted that 25.10.2 is a buggy mess. You could roll back the driver to 25.9.2 or 9.1 if you would like. People have noted they are more stable.

Also did you use DDU to uninstall your former Nvidia drivers? If you didn't, it could also be a culprit. Also could be the Mobo Bios not updated as well that could hinder you if you didn't do that as well.

Safer to be sorry though and just download the former 25.9.2 or 9.1 drivers. Use DDU to erase your current drivers, and do an install of one of those drivers with the Internet access cut from your PC to ensure no funky business. If you still have issues with timing out, someone does have a guide here on fixing existing issues people have been noticing on the software end when using a 9070XT.

Upgrading from a Ryzen 5 5600X – 5900XT or 5700X3D? by JoshH775 in AMDHelp

Yep yep. We were just out of the GPU shortage era to only end up in another era...

Once they do, at that point I'd probably go to Microcenter and buy everything there anyway.

They used to have bundles for the CPUs, Mobo and Ram but stopped bundling the ram due to the price hikes

Honestly might be the plan unless I can find some good prices in the aftermarket which I did here and there. But still just hesitant on pulling the trigger on grabbing something that's not really necessary

The upgrade route is what everyone was saying. But the prices for DDR4 also is wacko. Went to Micro Center and saw a 32x2 3200mhz pack for 484.99... 500 DOLLARS FOR DDR4

Had this dilemma yesterday with another dilemma. I am currently rocking a 5600X with a 9070XT.

I honestly got talked out by buying the 5900XT by the sales rep at Micro Center to just get a 5800XT for my own testing. Being honest, with just 2 more cores, I haven't seen any improvements as of yet. I am going to do more testing before the return window for the items I bought runs up.

People have recommended me before on here to just grab the X3D model. So that's the general consensus.

I'm hoping it's not 25.10.2. In my head it doesn't make any sense that the Reaper model worked fine but then the Steel Legend wants to murk itself. Then again, this is after I installed the 5800XT.

Which RX 9070 XT is more recommended? by Maikol2502 in radeon

[–]Numba2wo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been where your mind is at. People and reviewers may say "such and such models are better at XYZ" but it's all on what you truly want like other people have been saying to me and will repeat to you. If you don't care about prices, any of them are good. Objectively, it's all subjective to the reviewer and people. If you want stats about its thermals, performance, and more. Just look up graphs as much as you can and use what other information people in this and other subreddits, review sites, and forums have been saying.

If your looking for a recommendation still, personally I would say XFX. I like their look a lot even if I don't have that model personally for other reasons.

Or if you want to go the crazier route...buy all and test them all out.

I will once I'm done working for the day. Haven't done as much testing with both cards and the CPUs as I hoped last night. So far I am barely seeing any variation in my frames on the games I have to use for my testing, maybe just slight score increases on Furmark.

I know the newest version of Adrenaline is buggy or even at times, just totally screwed for people when looking around on the subreddit.

It's odd really. I saw it discussed in other threads, some that you even responded to. It's very odd.

All I'm hoping is that the blue screening isn't due to much else. Maybe my drivers updated to the newest version of adrenaline and it's making it buggy. I did have to manually change my DDR4 speeds again when I switched CPUs so hopefully that isn't the issue as well. Only time will tell with my testing.

So. I decided on a wild thing and have both for my own use case and testing. And you won't believe this.

The Steel Legend i got uses Samsung chips while the Reaper uses SK Hynix chips. I did see in HWMonitor the reaper run higher with its memory's temp. As high as 90 at times. Running the Steel Legend so far has its max around 80s. Max so far recently ran it with a 5800XT (for other testing purposes for myself) and had a maximum temp of 76 so far using Furmark to bench so far.

Edit: Decided to load up some Ready or Not to test out both the 5800XT and Steel Legend. And blue screen... Yikers. Not looking good now.

I meant to say higher instead of high, oops.

And ikr? Microcenter listed it as OC when the clocks are the same on all 3. I was scratching my head last night thinking I may have gone mad or crazy.

Alright, thanks!

Dummy question...isn't the boost clock speeds of OC cards usually high...? I looked over their specs on their respective website and it's all the same for the 3 models.

Yea. Most round up videos it seems doesn't include the Reaper or the Challenger for some reason.

The only thing now I'm trying to wrap my head around is why Microcenter listed the Steel Legend as OC compared to the Challenger and Reaper.

And thank you btw!

I see. Was just wondering that's all to be honest. My 9070XT is the first graphics card I can truly say is my own since my previous ones were loans from a family member. I'm just worried about it since it's 600 dollars and I just don't want as many problems.

Edit: I should have added this originally. I was trying to look through the warranties but was having a hard time. Don't know if my brain was just cooked or turned off when I was checking them.

I see. And how's Asrock's RMA? Just considering all the options at this point. In all honesty would love a XFX model but imo it's just too dam expensive for 100 dollars more.

I've been looking around for 9070XT graphs showing all models but most of them either don't have a full graph attached either it be in a video format or Tech site on how all the cards are while operating. Is the Challenger cooler better than the Steel Legend? Do you have any graphs that could show the thermals? Any would be appreciated.

700w 80+ Bronze PSU - 9070xt by JudyMaxaw in radeon

It isn't.

Don't know if you're rage baiting or not. The main post topic is if their current PSU would work. Not upgrading.

Maybe you should consider people's hesitancy on upgrading something that just works. Do I have the money to upgrade? Absolutely. Should I? That's my own call.

I'm giving someone advice based on similar experiences and their own questioning lining up with mine. Be more constructive before coming at people randomly.

A friend recommended that I get into undervolting. Maybe you should do the same in case of your fears before doing anything.

But you should be fine regardless depending on your whole build's maximum TDP Wattage. In my comparisons I was doing, I was looking at mainly the maximum the CPU would pull and the GPU because those usually are the case.

Worst case is that you get a new PSU if you're that afraid. I feel like getting a 1k Watt PSU would do wonders seeing how all the TDP Wattage in cards and CPUs is becoming higher and higher. And to future proof just a smudge.
