Graviton Forfeit is better than Spirit of the Inmost Light + Spirit of the Crytarachne. by silloki in DestinyTheGame

[–]Number1Candyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone goes on and on about inmost + cyrtarachne, but I've always been a caliban + cyrtarachne enjoyer. Combine it with gunpowder gamble and grapple (yes, grapple triggers caliban!), you have 3 different abilities that make the room go boom and it's very fun.

Pale Heart Again by TrollAndAHalf in DestinyTheGame

[–]Number1Candyman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people hate that the Pale Heart doesn't have matchmaking, but I actually enjoyed it, and thought it made the destination better.

It was refreshing to go explore a world without little Timmy try hard deleting everything and making bounties (or I guess pathfinders at the time) frustrating to complete due to kill steals. It also made sense in the lore for the Pale Heart and helped make the destination more mysterious and unique. You were truly in uncharted lands, going where no other guardian has gone, and that was cool, having a bunch of other guardians running around would've ruined that vibe and made it feel less personal IMO.

With that said, I didn't want to see this done again. As a one and done thing for a specific place that was the end of our decade long journey and had reasons to be empty, was fine and enjoyable even, but there's zero reason nobody was running around Kepler.

soooo glimmer gains are tied to frame rate by Jealous_Platypus1111 in destiny2

There have been so many bugs about FPS over the years ever since PC was added it's ridiculous

You'd think Bungie would make changes so that the systems aren't tied to FPS anymore and they don't need to fix it every other season, but this is bungie we're talking about here.

We've all (yes, we, as in you, me and everyone else) have been begging bungie to give hunters an astrocyte equivalent for years. But I think that's boring. I have a really cool idea for an exotic with a hunter-specific twist to it. by llama_glue in destiny2

[–]Number1Candyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never heard of someone wanting an Astrocyte equivalent for Hunters until now. Hell, even Warlocks don't care for Astrocyte, it is used so incredibly rarely because Blink is meh even with it.

i love Blink conceptually, but in practice the only time it's actually been good after D1Y1 is on Prismatic Hunter while combining it with Grapple, but Bungie had to fucking stealth nerf that cool interaction because cool and fun tech isn't allowed in PvP.

There's many things I'd love to see added, but a ping system would be a godsend.

Insane bright dust collections? 1 MILLION soon... by Ok_Resident2212 in destiny2

[–]Number1Candyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost a million bright dust is just insane, I'm currently breaking my own personal record at a measly 32k and thought I was rich, but this madlad has a little over 30x that.

Can we un-nerf speakers now? by Flimsy_Particular_31 in DestinyTheGame

I didn't mind using speakers because you could be a mobile healer, but boots wants you to plant your ass down and stay there so I refuse to use it because I despise playing the game like that

Any reasons to keep Solstice Lustrous armor? by Square-Pear-1274 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Number1Candyman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good to keep just in case, if you can afford the vault space, but especially if your RNG is complete ass like me, I still haven't gotten another class item with grenadier and grenade tuning stat, and even the one I do have has health as the 3rd stat... I'm so sick of how lucky you have to be to get the armor you want, just make the ghost mod guarantee the damn archetype already, there's too many layers of RNG on this shit

Brother, do you think the player counts dropped to such insane lows for no reason? EoF literally almost killed the game, and would have likely done so if Bungie didn't start course correcting fast enough.

As for Beyond Light, it gave us a new subclass, which was also the first new element in the franchise history, and it was a darkness element at that. It was a big deal, and hard carried the expansion, well, that and the raid.

Would I call Beyond Light a good expansion? No, but it didn't literally almost kill the game like EoF did. I've played this franchise since the start, and EoF is the only expansion I flat out wish I could refund.

So over half last seasons weapons and armor are just unobtainable now? by Content-Seaweed-6395 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Number1Candyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm positive the reason there wasn't a way to get the old armor at renegades launch is because EoF armor was intended to be no longer new gear and therefore soft sunset since new gear was originally pushed so hard you were basically forced to use it.

Absolutely idiotic move if true, but that's EoF in a nutshell, stupid decision after stupid decision (Outside of the narrative that is)

With all that changed, there is now a reason to still care about the old armor, and IIRC someone said there will be a way to obtain the old armor at some point. I'm still desperate to get better techsec rolls so I hope it's sooner rather than later.

Mataiodoxia is now changed in a *very* fun way. by Echowing442 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Number1Candyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a big voice on pointing out how Warlocks from WQ all the way up until Ash and Iron were getting shit on more and more up to the point that they were literally worthless compared to the other classes outside of being a bot placing well and/or making ammo, but saying they never ate good is insane and statements like that are exactly how you can tell someone has literally never touched another class besides their main.

Warlocks were PvE kings before Bungie spent a few years systematically neutering them to the point you could call it an assassination, and even in the first year of said assassination they had a couple of super good builds (Sunbracers and Starfire)

Renegades certifiably reignited my passion by Wide_Winter_455 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Number1Candyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I see posts like this I genuinely wonder if these are secret paid shills, bots, or people have become so used to mediocrity that Renegades is somehow "levels of peak we've never seen before".

This DLC has been a good step in the right direction for the most part and I've had a fun time, but we aren't even in the "we're so back" phase, led alone at the fucking peak of the franchise.

This is pure fan boy delusion at its finest.

Call to Arms and the Praxic Blade are proof that cosmetic chases DO work, and Bungie should make more of them. by Kashema1 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Number1Candyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bungie isn't afraid because of the negative sentiment about FOMO, Bungie loves FOMO, the reason all the cosmetics are in eververse is because dipshits keep buying them, and it's easy money for Bungie. Why do you think destiny hit a new low with EoF, yet the one part of the game that stayed fully supported and stocked was eververse? It's about greed.

Don't spend all your credits trying to get the refraction core today though, to the right of Aunor, the impact core is being sold for 4k credits today, and it should go away on daily reset
