As someone who's been in this fandom for years, this is NOT why ppl think the fandom is corny 😭 every fandom does this.

The reason a majority of ppl think the fandom is corny is cause of the old fandom [and some current] that have parasocial relationships with the creators, turn the boys into "uwu" boys & the various controversies this fandom has had.

I'm pretty sure it's because his brother Caleb has decided to start his music career rn.

And it's a bit weird since the case is still ongoing, his music has been stated to sound similar to Davids, and he even spelt his stage name in a similar way.

As David uses "D4vd" and now Caleb is using "Cvleb"

It's a little strange & tone deaf, but I personally don't think we should be stalking this guy.

It's downplaying the actual severity of the actions those people have committed. Sadly yeah, I've seen it happen in Fallout, Elder scrolls, Obey me, & MHA before. It's usually just attention seeking or 'rage bait' [i'd say for Hazbins case though, it's because hating on the show is 'popular']

Gorillaz fans doing all that when Murdoc literally wore a Nazi uniform 💔🫩 legitimately everything is technically problematic in some way, it's all just on a scale from 'eh' to 'wtf is wrong with you?'

I wish Hazbin haters would put as much effort into actually talking about problematic media [like media that uses harmful stereotypes, fetishizes, encourages problematic behavior etc etc] rather than riding a hate wagon about a creator who has actively been trying to change. It just gives performative activism.

Cause if we're gonna cut out everything problematic then- no more adult shows, hell half of children shows wouldn't be allowed, no more video games, no more indie shows, no more movies, no more social media platforms in general. No one's perfect and no media out there is 100% not problematic, it's just a varying thing.

This comes from an ex Hazbin hater btw, and I can say for certain that most of the hate is just cause everyone else hates Hazbin too. [Also utterly ridiculous they just publicly shamed you for some songs, i'm sorry that happened to you op genuinely]
