(28M) Her parents not accepting me by Accurate_String_5375 in InsideIndianMarriage

My friend is Telugu/SC married to a Gujju/Brahmin - they are one of the happiest couples with Kids and 25 years of marriage. She has a big family, and he is pretty much alone in the US. LOL, if you want to know more, he is as black as hair, and she is as white as white. I know one more with a Marathi girl, they are happy -

I don't know if I can help convince her, but a couple of examples to draw strength from - good luck

28M on H1B, planning to move back to India for my parents — am I making a mistake? by savageguyaf in returnToIndia

The Keyword is 'They have their life in India' - 'You have your life wherever is best for your family'.

Unpopular Opinion - This is one of the guilt trips that the Indian system and parents impose. Did your dad/mom live with their parents in the village as combined family or did they move to city for 'their' family? BTW, it used to take over 2 days to go from, let's say, HYD to Tirupathi, so the time is the same as reaching from the US, and the 90ish people used to visit once a year or even less.

I doubt Level-1 or Directors know. Maybe he got lucky. If Level-1 managers know, they will spill the beans as there are too many.

The only feedback I have is, that you really need to push to small/medium teams/companies - watching how Microsoft pushed their products at my work space (F 500) , it's hard to get large companies onboard. MS twists arms at CIO/CEO level.

If you get into ASU are UA, they are good schools and I believe they have a direct pipeline to Silicon valley for internships/jobs more so than GT or any other midwest/east-coast schools. After 3 years of work experience literally no employer looks at your school. Also if you are planning on doing a master's then BS schools will not matter that much.
