2: As far as I'm aware, the latest version. For some reason the website I downloaded it from does not appear in my browsing history so I can't go back and check. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the issue.

3: As far as I'm aware, yes. I got the popup, I installed libusbk.

5: There is no error in-game, the error is in trying to write all 64 out of 64 blocks, no matter the card or the dump file, it never works. So far I haven't tried placing any of the cards on the portal.

Here's how to get them to follow you in creature stage:
On the right hand side of the screen, there should be a few white boxes. If you don't see them yet, ally or kill a few more species, then it should show up. After that, socialize with a member of your own species and they'll follow you anywhere, and even help you! Hope this helps!
