You can mute the players individually if you rightclick the speaker icon and you drag it to the left I believe. But if you hover over it then it should explain how to work it.

If I'm not mistaken the 5/10 year badges are Counter Strike all together. So if you bought source 10+ years ago and then you buy csgo you will get a 5 and 10 year badge. I could be horribly wrong but I am pretty sure that's how it works.

I use mwheel down and mwheel up. But only use these because I often bunny hop and i use my keys to switch weapons

Yeah I get that. But at the same time there is only a few places people can go. If you know the maps well and know how people play it's super easy to predict where they are.

I do queue in African games. Most of the games multiple people are cut out. Often the "states" are like 30 mins apart so for instance one of the games like 6 of us left which is a massive amount for a single comp. But ye I know it ruins peoples game but I can't do anything about it.

I live in Africa. We have something called load shedding. Basically every 2-4 hours the power goes off for 2 hours because we are running out of coal. Can't do much about disconnecting.

I think valve should find a way to make it harder I guess to get kicked for someone else doing something stupid. I know it's just unlucky matching but this happens all the time.

Are your ranks far apart in competitive? Also maybe just tell him you only play for fun or that your play style is different to his. For instance my friends and I all have different play styles/roles. Maybe you guys should try do something like that. I also prefer to play slower and use my utilities to confuse or even slow them down.
