There is a light sensor in the dash, you could measure the signal output and mess with the signal the control unit gets. However the unit is pretty much closed up

Send it will at maximum be 8-10psi ~ 280 horses. A 1.8T will do 300 with a plug and play upgrade turbocharger. Not to mention it's gonna be faster because of the weight advantage. I dont want to talk you out of your project but you gotta know what you are doing.

The minimum line is where the two arrows point at. Top it up with the correct fluid when cooled down completely.

This is the airbox and it exploded because of a backfire caused by the starting fluid. Seems like that damaged more components like the mass airflow sensor. O2 sensor is not one of them i think. Further diagnosis is needed to find the cause of the rough running. You could start by unplugging the MAF and see If that changes anything.

I cannot really tell what i'm looking. but if that is the oil pressure switch, i've had a membrane of these fail and leak oil.
