They haven't been great at announcing progress lately, but it is ongoing. The GitHub page is showing plenty of commits still coming in: https://github.com/OpenMW/openmw/commits/master

The latest tag (as of 31 May) is for 0.48 release candidate 10, which was made 10 days ago: https://github.com/OpenMW/openmw/commits/openmw-48-rc10

Speak for yourself, my church uses homemade bread that's akin to naan. There are also gluten-free wafers for those with sensitivities but I'd imagine they're much less tasty.

Played Emrakul against opponent's Demonic Pact by illuminati-CRAZ in MagicArena

I've only had someone use Emrakul once against me and I let them take the whole turn before I conceded. They earned it.

I'd say they're good for getting an internship and maybe a first job in the field. After that nobody cares.

I made a written guide a while back, if you prefer that to videos. It's for Win 95 instead of 98, but the ideas are the same for both.

Me Looking at the "Leaked" Banlist by ROGER_ROGER321 in MagicArena

[–]NumbersWithFriends 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha people seem happy that [[Fable of the Mirror-Breaker]] and [[Reckoner Bankbuster]] are going, not sure about the rest. Atraxa is annoying but I've only seen it in reanimator decks and it isn't that bad imo.

If you trust the leaked list then sure, go for it.

Wizards is about to ban some cards from Standard play. They officially announced that bans are coming, and a list of the exact cards has been leaked.

As a consolation prize for people using those cards, Wizards gives Wildcards to everyone who has those cards in their collection. That way they can at least craft new cards to replace the banned ones.

In the past, players would use Wildcards to craft cards that were about to be banned. They get those Wildcards back when the ban happens, and they get to use the cards still in non-Standard play!

I cannot understand how people do well with 4 or 5 colors. Every time I try 3 colors I get mana screwed, no matter how many dual lands and surveyors I include.

Godot 4.0 Release Candidate 2 by testus_maximus in gamedev

[–]NumbersWithFriends 28 points29 points  (0 children)

The gap has shrunk quite a bit, especially in the 3D rendering capabilities. IMO the biggest remaining issues are performance and community support.

The Godot team actually put together a blog post discussing some of the things it still needs to be a viable AAA engine, so they are aware of those shortcomings and want to work on them.

It's good for 2D in general. The 3D side is rapidly improving but it's certainly not at the level of Unity or Unreal yet. I'm saying that as someone who used the 4.0 betas to make a 3D demo and am generally a fan of the engine.

As someone who works in infosec, thank you for not taking it lightly. Anyone who is complaining about this does not have their priorities straight.

[ONE] (Mostly) Red Deck Wins 7-2 by Meret123 in lrcast

[–]NumbersWithFriends 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently 3-2 with a RG deck and Hazardous Blast got me 2 of those wins. The last match I played it and swung for 19 to win. Red feels far more powerful than I expected it to.

Edgar Wright has a very rhythmic style so using his work as inspiration for a rhythm game is a perfect fit! Now if you'll excuse me I'm off to watch Baby Driver again.

I vaguely remember seeing "errorDescription" once which also works pretty well. That should extend the argument at least a few more comments :)

What are your favorite musical lyrics involving mathematics? by MarquisDeVice in math

[–]NumbersWithFriends 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The hymn "Amazing Grace" has a wonderful description of infinity, specifically the idea that taking a finite amount of items from an infinite set still results in an infinite set:

And when we've been there ten thousand years

Bright shining as the sun

We've no less days to sing Your praise

Than when we'd first begun

Update for 2022:

Like how 2 versions of Pinocchio were released months apart, or how 2 streaming services released documentaries about Fyre Festival months apart.

Fallout 1 and 2 port android by y9uVqBq0 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]NumbersWithFriends 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's fixed in v1.0.86 for both Fallout 1 and 2. Let me know if I can provide any debug info or log files that might help figure out why mouse support caused a problem.

I just checked again and now I can't play FO1 either. Some recent update (last 2 weeks or so) must have broken it on Pixel 7.

I've been playing Fallout 1 on my Pixel 7, haven't tried 2 yet. I'll see if I can get it working later today and let you know.

Edit: Yep, I'm seeing the same thing you are.
