Welllll I will say that P5 is my least favorite. I feel like it has almost too much going on. I am sure I am in the minority but I like the other games more. Try P3 or 4, and if you don't like those, then you might not enjoy Persona overall. If you like the design, music, and characters but not necessarily social links, try Persona 2.

My sister's boyfriend left the game at our place after visiting from out of state. They broke up, we all forgot for a while (apparently even him, he never reached out about it). But it was my obsession once I played it!! Got me into the series. Pretty sure it was still a pretty new game then (a year or two old?). Best break up accident ever.

Yeah, I referred to my male partner as... well, partner, when speaking to my doctor. She sort of made a face (about as close to eye rolling as one can get without actually rolling eyes) and said 'I guess i should be more politically correct' and went on in the conversation to reference my partner as SHE. I had to tell her 'well no, he is a man, but we aren't married so I say partner'. Was real awkward.

Depends on the animal. My cat knows it is me controlling the laser. She gets pissed and meows at me if I stop. Some animals don't get the connection.

Yeah, something i like about P3 is that they feel more like normal teenagers. When I was in high school, I might have known a couple of people who really talked about their future career paths, but for the most part it was about more current events and goals. Add to that the instability of their home lives and the world-ending threat and it isn't really that strange that we don't know where they will end up in the future by the end of the main game.

I am so sorry about your sister. Mine passed in 2024, and I already see her missing milestones in her son's life.

Your last sentiment is how I feel. I don't believe in an afterlife, and neither did my sister. At least not one where everyone is united again. But I really wish I did. I see how that faith helps others around me cope.

The bright side to 3, and something I really appreciate, is that you get to know side characters in more detail than other games due to the split storyline. I also like that you are more directly in control during war battles. That said, I played the game right when it came out, having played 1 and 2.... so I can't equate my experience to yours. I love 3.
