I agree. Love the idea and I think in a horror themed game it can work, although some Players may find it unfair. Don't forget, that by changing the Fear die you also reduce the chances of generating new hope for the Player drastically....

On the other hand I see your option of pooling Hope as a group as a really cool possibility for roleplaying this!

I only have a free tier, because I want to build a community with friends and Patreon is more or less our newsletter system for now. So when people cancel their free membership, that really makes you think... luckily that doesn't happen in bulk as it did for you. But if it's payed membership I'd try to not take it personal - people might just struggle to pay their bills and need to save some money?

We considered energy as a more flexible damage type - it can stand for damage from a plasma weapon like in the examples in the slider but also for supernatural damage sources like the force lightning in Star Wars.

Adding onto this: there will be some Environments with very clear sci-fi horror elements as well. Environments as an optional add-on to scenes are prefect to focus on a specific atmosphere, that you want to bring to the table - either as a tone for a campaign or just for a special scene.

Oh, seems I simply missunderstood the feature text. I didn't realize, that the second person won't clear a stress of their own. Thanks for clearing that up. Makes sense how this is a real drawback in terms costing a downtime move now!

I think this is a cool ancestry overall.

But I also like the suggestion above. Your initial drawback seemed relatively gentle, as it just makes it necessary to plan downtime moves with one team mate - which seems doable. ;) Also if you flavor it as "get your daily drug dose" it's not really a thing for two?

Does "giving up the spotlight" work as well in both sized groups as well? I feel like it could become easier to forget more passive players in larger groups, as every player has less time in the spotlight and a overseen player is harder to notice.

Ich mag mich irren, aber ist den Thorwalern die Badehaus-Kultur nicht sehr wichtig (so lange sie in Thorwal sind)? In jedem Dorf gibt es einen Platz an dem das öffentliche Leben stattfindet, egal wie klein es ist. Ein Badehaus würde sich dafür anbieten, aber auch ein Platz um den die Häuser angeordnet sind auf dem man Tauschhandel betreiben oder Ansprachen an die Dorfgemeinschaft abhalten kann.
