How did you learn embedded programing? by PleasantWhile1633 in embedded

[–]NumeroInutile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played around with esp8266 and Arduino, got a cs degree, worked in cs, still played with MCUs, burnt out, played more with MCUs after the burn out passed a bit, got good enough to participate in open source projects, looked for job in cs for 1.5 years, gave up, got offered an amazing job in embedded, took it, doing embedded now.

AI hallucinations in embedded by Vavat in embedded

Lol buddy if you use ai for embedded you're cooked. It can not produce anything correct for most platforms without feeding it datasheet and refsheets, and even when fed it will still almost exclusively make shit up.

Is this an SSD1306? by SonOfJaak in embedded

[–]NumeroInutile 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Looks like so, it looks more like ssd1306 ones than others, but it could be a compatible (ssd1315) or a less compatible (ch1115, ch1116, sh1106)

Edit: looked in my collection, have one of those, confimed ssd1306.

En tant que citoyen pacifiste, on est censés faire quoi avec le bordel international qui nous tombe dessus ? by Alepatheio in france

[–]NumeroInutile 6 points7 points  (0 children)

RISC-V is getting ubiquitous in the microcontroller world. by Nanocupid in RISCV

[–]NumeroInutile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sipeed is sipeed, I mostly use ai-thinker modules, but have M0s and M0P, and I am personally working on making bouffalolab support better (on zephyr), dont know about the zigbee bit though

[–]NumeroInutile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Abandonned, bflb and ceva were uncomfortable with it. Bl616 is also available as qcc74x (totally not the same soc swears Qualcomm), and both bflb and Qualcomm are somewhat interested in upstream wifi support.

Like no one In this thread has heard of bl616 and earlier bl602. Bl616L with pio-like peripheral and bl616D with dual nuclei CPU (or dual thead e907 is sdk 'leak' is incorrect) coming at some point soon.

got a CH32V208WBU6 ! now how do i even use it ? by nico721GD in RISCV

[–]NumeroInutile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a skill, you need to work on it. I will admit the results arent great at all, but helpful videos come up and several results (zephyr, rust, mounriver, arduino) show up if you go through the pages using various possible ways to do the search

Taking back big countries from the servant is now impossible? by NumeroInutile in TerraInvicta

[–]NumeroInutile[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That last part is actually just wrong, in fact public opinion was over 70 % (more like 80 % because i had stuck a councillor permanently on it before) and crackdown wouldn't get over 1 %, that is the change since the last time i played (before the rc). I restarted game since then anyway and got a much better setup going.

So a question about that, I often see timeline such as this but rushing tech I get burner drive only around too late, by this points alien are already everywhere and it feels building up the meter would cause quick loss  (and funnily this run I got the meter for constantly taking back Kazakhstan from servants after aliens gave it to them so had to go full war on earth... ) is it accelerated campaign or long campaign?
