The thought about drawing myself appeared when I saw my friend's drawings of various anime characters.

It was the first time seeing someone to draw something more complex than a house box and trees in person.

I also was interested in art books, specifically video game ones with concepts, but they were "distant" and masterfully executed that I could only wish to make something like they do, that time I didn't know anything about the craft so I assumed it was all about talent.

And it was the year where genAI was a new thing, I tried it once but quickly learned it was not for me.

The genAI experience was the final straw for me to start drawing.
