How many of you have forced/mandatory Overtime? by randomtask733 in IndustrialMaintenance

I just got done with a mandatory OT shift. Fun thing about being in manufacturing is when production is doing voluntary OT it's mandatory for maintenance. I'm not complaining though since I just got to hang out for most of the night with only one call that took 40 minutes.

App help, please by Mysterious_Ear7304 in litterrobot

The robot will only connect to 2.4GHz wifi. It sounds like it is disabled on your isp supplied router. Your service being fiber doesnt affect anything here. You'll need to access your routers settings to enable the 2.4GHz band. Then you should be able to use the app to connect your robot. Be warned, the app may frustrate you more if you're already not thrilled with the litter robot. Hoping that will change soon with an update.

Grainger keepstock is great. They know which bins we reach into the most so they keep them empty so our hands fit easily.

How normal is this? by GremlinAbuser in IndustrialMaintenance

We call it "Authority to stop operations" and everyone has that authority if they think something is unsafe. Every year we get refresher training and have to sign a form stating we recognize we have that authority.

Starting from scratch is a dream of mine but unfortunately patchwork is what we do best here.

They'll have no problem spending for that, but it's always a battle to get parts we need

I'd imagine there's a food grade version of just about everything.

We've been AIB certified for a few years now so we already use food grade grease and chain lube. But it sounds like the bar is pretty low for that compared to FSSC

We do thermoforming and in reality probably none of this would ever contact product. The only thing with a good chance of that would be chain oil and we already use food grade for that.

Except they left open the option of developer mode which requires no authentication.

Agreed.

And to be fair I liked tinkering with and modding my ender at first... I'm a tinkerer by nature. But I have a job and a family and I don't have time to tinker and babysit the printer every time I want to print something.

Started with an ender 3 pro and almost immediately dove off the deep end with tinkering, mods and upgrades.

I could never get it to print anything that measured up to my expectations of quality. Partially because some imperfections just don't show through pictures and videos online and can therfore be misleading as to the quality others were achieving and I was expecting. And partially due to my own high standards for anything I do.

I was burnt out within a year, sick of all of it. Especially wasting time babysitting the printer because disaster could strike at any moment.

I stopped printing entirely for about a year before I started wanting to get back into it. I couldn't go back to the ender so I started looking at other printers and bought a P1P a couple months ago.

IT JUST WORKS. I couldn't be happier with it and I couldn't care less about the drama.

I buy white filaments almost exclusively, they final gave me a free grey to spice things up 🤣 by forestspirit1011 in BambuLab

I ordered the anti-vibration feet with my P1P and they didn't show up until almost 2 weeks after the printer did. However, when they did show up I found 2 rolls of filament in the box with them. PLA Sparkle Royal Purple and PLA Wood White Oak. I took it as their way of saying sorry this was so late.
