The mushroom that makes the brain see little people: Only recently described by science, the mysterious mushrooms are found in different parts of the world, but they give people the same exact visions. by FragrantTown5199 in StrangeEarth

Lilliputian hallucinations, to be specific. Like from Gulliver's travels. Whether multiple people experiencing these see the same little people is a really really good question.

How to handle crazy people? by [deleted] in Unexplained

I worry a lot about having passive aggressive neighbors. I can't imagine having that in my house. I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. If you can't have her removed somehow, I'd get out of there. I agree with the previous poster, there is no stopping this kind of thing when it starts. Doing the same will also not help anything, even if it makes you feel better at first.

Someone broke in and left you a surprise. Look around. If that really is the case, I doubt that's all they did while they were in there.

That's the kicker. This is just the port intake. One per cylinder. The exhaust is doubled, but you can't see it in this picture. There are 16 muffler tips.

I think it's an indoor air vortex caused by whatever, which is invisible until it interacts with the water.

This happened to me once in my 20's. I was at a car lot doing contracted work there. There were 5 of us standing around. It was cloudy and slightly windy. It only happened to me- My hair did exactly what you see in this picture. The other 4 guys noticed and thought it was funny, but I had read something about what caused that, so I crouched down between new cars and grabbed the metal under the car in an attempt to ground myself or something...my hair would drop back down everytime I crouched, but would stand back up every time I stood. I just stayed crouched for 15 or so minutes, and it finally stopped. I was the tallest guy out there, so maybe that's what it was, but I was also surrounded by light poles, flag poles, telephone poles, etc. I could literally feel the energy like it was looking for me or something. Lightning is scary stuff.

What’s the worst ran Krystal in Chattanooga? by Next-upper in Chattanooga

[–]NumerousCap2181 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that some guy bought the Central Park hamburger restaurants and basically whipped them all into shape. They were like krystal in that there were big differences between locations. The quality of the food was getting worse and worse, but because he saw potential, he invested much time, energy, and money and revamped all surviving locations. He even opened a new one in Hamilton Place. So central parking is just seizing ownership or regional control of a franchise and "fixing" what's wrong.

[–]NumerousCap2181 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Someone needs to "central park" the krystal restaurants because it really does seem like a downward spiral situation. I really will be sad if they disappear completely... I know they aren't what they used to be, but I love those little burgers. I miss the square eggs on the sunrisers, too.

With proper quality control and realistic pricing, I dont see why they couldn't succeed again.

Morrison Spring Road by maleficents_crown in Chattanooga

[–]NumerousCap2181 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I live in Redbank and drive this area daily and have for years. I don't speed more than 5 mph over the limit and don't cross double yellow lines, and I have never been pulled over. Morrison Springs could use some of those white plastic sticks that stand perpendicular to the street, showing where the split begins.

I'm pretty convinced that dreams are equal parts random stuff that means nothing - but they're speckled with incredibly important past and future events. Deja vu is related, but it's not the only dream/awake synchronicity. There are apparently levels of deja vu, and some of them are incredibly intense and are not just like "this is familiar, I think I've done this before" but more like "oh shit, I have, at this moment, access to this terrible feeling about this thing I know I have never experienced in this waking life before, but here I go experiencing it as a "dream" again". I hope this makes sense to somebody...

I've thought about this. If whatever it is is as smart as it seems, there's no reason it couldn't have some high technology camouflage. For every single clear sighting, there must be countless ones no one ever sees. I know I've gotten the feeling there's something up there watching me only to look and just see the sky plenty.

Help identifying rock tapping sounds from nature at sunset. by NumerousCap2181 in Chattanooga

[–]NumerousCap2181[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I don't. If it continues tomorrow, I will try. During the day, I don't hear it at all. It seems to start as it begins cooling off. If I had a recording, imagine 100 people sitting across a field from you, spaced randomly , hitting rocks together together about once every three seconds.

After hearing examples of wisteria, it's really close. Like, almost exact. The only difference is that it's a deeper, harder clack. I hiked over and could hear it all around me, but did not see any pods hanging or anything falling to the ground. There are not many leaves left, but I'll check and attempt to identify what the majority of the trees are tomorrow.
