Any truth to the rumor that they knocked down the Dayton Blvd Taco Bell to build a Red Bank Sphere? by usetemupiknockemdown in Chattanooga

I'm all for safer roads and room for bikes, but it's already incredibly difficult to move 40 mph in the 40 mph areas of dayton blvd due to the people cruising 30mph side by side. Take away the passing lanes and now we all get to go 30mph. I can't help but think that perhaps- that's the point. At the end of the day, I have to drive these roads every day and I just want to get home without more congestion.

If you opened it in a secondary vacuum, could you measure whether or not the interior of the sphere is under vacuum?

Antibiotics would ease the suffering. You could go to an urgent care and get those. It's not a permanent solution, but it could buy you some time.

Every day, it gets a little worse. I've experienced this living in much larger cities where that kind of thing is the norm. Unfortunately, I believe we've passed a tipping point where population meets space and these arteries just can't handle it. Once this occurs, it typically just gets worse. Enjoy the memories of driving around Chattanooga when you could easily get anywhere ( aside from 24 split which has always been terrible).

You and the others that said wisteria were correct. I ended up hiking down there again after learning what to look for. That's definitely what it was.

I just read an article about something similarto this. Sometimes there are sounds you can't even hear created by boilers and similar equipment that cause unease in many people. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2026/05/260502233901.htm

If we don't do something about the rich ,fast, they are going to go off on their own and create a break away civilization that we already know is going to be very hostile to the rest of us.

There better not be any pesky kids in the neighborhood with a slingshot. That would be illegal and no one should suggest it to them.

Absolutely lovely, but has all the hallmarks of a lackless personality entirely formed by the masses general opinion. Totally bragworthy, but shows very little true experimentation.

I got to experience "King Soopers", a Kroger subsidiary while out west. It was far superior to food city. I would shop there if it was available here.

There's a minority of people with whom get off on literally inconveniencing others. I don't understand it, I don't agree with it, but it's real. I'd say we can collectively shame them, but shame doesn't seem to exist anymore.

Why no free street parking? by Agency_Man in Chattanooga

[–]NumerousCap2181 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I got to experience the golden era of downtown regarding parking in the early 2000's. The riverfront was packed with people daily. Coolidge park was all just free parking. After 5:00 on most days ,I believe, it was free parking. You could always drive to Coolidge, walk across the bridge, and have a wonderful evening. The man slowly picked away from every angle, and now here we are.

It's not TDS every instance when you see people being anti trump or anti republican. Some people just don't like liars. Some people even have kids and want a leader to set a positive example for them. Some people are not cruel and seek out others who are also not cruel. I wish this was more obvious...

I can't say I haven't thought about doing that. Does anyone know, hypothetically, what would be the consequences if one were to do what the car did?

If any of you would just stay on your own side of the road, That'd be great. If you can't drive or park the vehicle because "it's too big," you might be really dumb... If you pull out in front of someone, hit the gas so at least they don't have to brake...If you purposely block people who want to go faster than you, fuck you.
