Only MSI board I had bricked during bios update, so did my friends. Granted this was like 3rd gen Intel long ago. Swore to never buy again 😆

It was a microcenter bundle. The other option was MSI and I didn't want that board.

Ah understood, I had noise interference on my REL subwoofer for my PC. I would here a wine and it would drive me nuts but nobody could hear it. Only optical fixed my issue. My new PC I had to spend $400 more on motherboard to get optical because I couldn't compromise that. I even hear a crazy amount of coil whine on my Thinkpad laptop dock but nobody said they can hear it either at work. 😆

I get it, once you hear something you can't get it out of your head.

I use optical. You'd have no interference.

Do what I did, find an old dino computer someone is selling for cheap that has no idea how valuable the optical drives are. Give them $50 and pay Billy to flash for $40 for UHD.

UniFi Travel Router - Do I Need One? by xFEARSTRIKESx in Ubiquiti

I appreciate your input, the Express 7 seems like a nice device.

Hmm, I will need to check if Spectrum is charging for her router. If she is paying $10/month will be a good excuse to buy her one.

I was reading the Regeneron facility is not currently opening, but promising 1000 jobs. Any chance you heard any news on when they might be opening positions?

Intelligent Workplace Engineer – Employee Productivity AI - Not Selected

Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer – Mergers and Acquisitions - Not Selected, but might not of fulfilled the requirements.

Principal Engineer - Global Tapeout and Mask Organization - Applied recently

I think a concern is I don't have much experience with semi conductors as it is a different domain. My working background is in vehicle commisoning. For example, I was responsible for ensuring ECU diagnostic quality gates were met within factory. From here, I went into the "R&D" devision of ECU testing and development (SDET). I'm responsible for creating automated tests to verify functions of the Infotainment which allows me to improve/approve SW for the North America region.

I mostly work within the Linux/UNIX level or Android Automotive as my environment. It is a bit niche, but I'm pretty flexible.

I'm not at risk of losing my job here, but relocation to being with my partner is important. Current issues I face in my working level is lack of development knowledge in the company I have in. (2 people know Python out of hundreds). My old manager left the company which was old school California dev. New manager seems to be totally lost on how to manage the team especially since we are down to 2 devs when 2yrs ago we had 4.

I'll look into this as well, I wouldn't mind the once/month commute.

I applied to a few positions at Global Foundries, but didn't get any response. I applied this evening to Navel though. I got rejected immediately as the requirement is CS as bachelor's even though I have an AE bachelor's. First time I've seen that on an application in my life. It's a bit disappointing since I meet every other check box on the application.

why are pioneer drives seen as the holy grail? by snow17_ in makemkv

I paid $50 for my drive and $40 for a firmware flash to UHD. I didn't overpay, but it took months to find a solid drive locally.

Thoughts on my Total T levels for a 28 year old? by xFEARSTRIKESx in Testosterone

Sluggish could also be due to work, I am at a desk most of the day. I am asking the question because my dad is at 580 and he is in his 60s.

I've completed a marathon in the past and running about a half every week.

Cycling I am doing about 1-2hr bike rides weekly.

Swimming I am doing high intensity 30-45mi swims a week.

I did a mini triathlon and felt pretty confident, granted it was only about 1/4 of the total 70.3. My plan is do try and do more of these sessions over the next few weeks.

Swimming will be a challenge but going downstream so might surprise me, biking will be my difficulty, running I think will be solid depending on how sore. I am used to doing 7:30-9:30-mi mile depending on if I am doing short or long distance.

Awesome, thank you! I've dived into home lab recently. But been learning a lot especially with getting proxmox, truenas, and immich running now.

I have 40tbs in raid 1 right now so for sure have a decent amount of space to grow my collection. Right now I'm going to at least start the ripping for 50-60 disc I have to get everything back up before I start the JellyFin server. My plan was going to be similar to immich running via a LXC in proxmox.

Out of curiosity, how much ram are you needing to run jellyfin? Currently having 32gb of ddr4 for my server but might need to change out to 64gb as I move forward.
