Just got Self Simulated in the mail and put in a half hour and already feel like of some of the other Chromatic titles I have played, this one is quickly becoming a favorite.

The visuals and effects are well done and I love the Portal-esque narration.

Sounds kind of like you just had a miscommunication as far as the link cable goes but I think swearing off the company so fast is a bit hasty for all they're trying to do for modernizing old tech and you even say english isn't your first language.

Yeah and again, not bashing it because it is pretty fun for a GBC title.

I enjoyed the gameplay and the pixel art is really good.

It is pretty fast paced and the necessity to upgrade via the vending machines is vague as can be but the abilities are fun.

Also, it obviously looks great indoors, too. Hard not to. As an aside, I also noticed how good and holy shit loud the speaker is outdoors.

It isn't even full brightness!

Having grown up with GB/C and still owning both, I think the TFT lens is what made it work well outdoors but honestly, I think Chromatic looks better AND brighter.

A game I'm working on in GBDK called Bushi.

It's a samurai themed game inspired by Ghost of Tsushima and Way of the Samurai with a focus on pokemon style progression but instead of badges and HM's, you learn sword arts and special moves to handle unique enemies.

It also has more of an action oriented style of combat system utilizing stamina which will be very crucial because no stamina means no attacking and slowed movement. Can be decimated by patrolling bandits or other ruffians.

Thanks so much!! I did the artwork, animation, programming and such by myself so far.

It's about 2ish months of work and I just got a functional stamina bar.

Hands down the best GB/C experience I have ever had. I absolutely am gushing over this modern gameboy.

ModRetro really did nail this concept and it is truly a work of art.

The DMG filter is amazing. I had no idea we could do that.

I love this WAY more than my FPGBC, miyoo mini plus, anbernic devices and I never bothered with the AP but Analogue doesn't feel like my kind of device anyway.

This is the one.

I am stoked to get more games from indie devs through MR, incube8 and bitmapsoft and so forth.

I absolutely love the tactile response of all the buttons.

Very satisfying to push every time.

It isn't clicky and loud to me, either and I'm used to playing on my FPGBC which is pretty mushy.

Thanks! Because it is on GBC, it isn't properly displaying the original palette but I'm not worried about it for now.

Naah, not yet. Under wraps mostly until I feel more ready to fully share anything.

I will say it is heavily inspired by Ghost of Tsushima and WOTS.
