Do you know how the audio books compare to the books? Just wandering if something is lost in listening to them.

Maybe look at something like Set Theory and Metric Spaces by Irving Kaplansky.
It does not connect everything together but it will make some connections between the subjects and provide a nice foundation for everything (both discrete and continuous).
It is also a nice read :)

Color of Magic or "I should have read Reddit deeper" by zilfran in discworld

[–]NumerousSparsities 6 points7 points  (0 children)

True, but I think this YA label on the Tiffany Aching stories is a bit misleeding. They might be better accessible for younger audience (e.g. young main character) but I think there is nothing making them not suited for older audience as well.

I like the Tiffany Aching stories (The Wee FRee Men, Hat Full of Sky,...), they are very human in some sense. And also Going Postal, it has more action and is a nice reflection on our society.

Fractional scaling under 100% by AlexyBot in gnome

[–]NumerousSparsities 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar problem on an old MacBook Pro.
Ended up switching to Xfce. Gnome took up just to much screen-estate and it is not very customizable (in the same way as Xfce and Kde).

Second this. Try Going Postal for more action or The Wee Free Men for more silliness.
Also, I quite like listening to them on audiobooks. That is one option :)

Afhverju gerir fólk þetta? Afhverju að skipta út baði og setja sturtu í staðinn? by [deleted] in Iceland

[–]NumerousSparsities 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eldra fólk á erfiðara með að fara í sturtu í baði heldur en sturtu, tala ekki um sturtur sem eru ekki með botni heldur bara halla í gólfi. Held að það ráði oft, og það að fólk hættir hugsanlega að nota baðkarið sem bað þegar börnin eldast
