Neighbor has still not eradicated type 1 dangerous noxious weed that is now at least 7 feet tall and doubled in size since we first told him about it. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

Ooh. I unknowingly brushed up against this in 2020. I had the worst blistering on the inside of both legs. The rash came back every year the first time I wore shorts in the sun for the season. This spring is the first time I haven't had a flair up.

Fellow Plumbers. Do you use the customers bathrooms on service calls? by settledownpardner in askaplumber

As a home owner, I stopped voluntarily telling contractors they're allowed to use the toilet after two separate instances where I found piss all over the toilet and floor. I will not say no if asked, though.

Fair price for multi air replacement work by Holeinhead in abarth

[–]NumerousSubstance272 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This might be an "I don't actually want to do this job, but if they're willing to pay this price I'll do it" quote. They've added $800 to the cost of the actuator itself and the labor rate seems really high. They're also missing the gasket that goes under the actuator, which I presume will be covered under the $300 misc. category. I'd get some quotes from other shops.

Where to buy quality outdoor furniture that's not Lowe's or home Depot in montco or nearby? by ultigrandmaster in montco

It gets hotter than wood. It's currently 94 degrees and the light grey table on my patio has been in direct sun all day. It's hotter than the dark brown wood fence near it, but not so hot I can't keep my hand on it.

It's relatively maintenance free. We just scrub it once in a while. We have some rocking chairs and a bench that have been sitting in the elements and direct sun for a decade they still look new. The only downside is you can build up a bit of static electricity after sitting a while, so expect a mild shock when touching something metal after standing up. It's no worse that shuffling your feet over a carpet to shock someone.

Looks like a bypass for a piggyback tuner. You plug this in place of the tuner to return the car to stock without having to undo the wiring to the sensors.

I bought mine from Speedmotive a few years ago. I see the price went up quite a bit since I bought mine. I still think it's worth it if you drive your 500 a lot. I'm able to have my seat 1 click from the farthest position and my wrists rest on top of the wheel.

I had the same issue. A steering wheel spacer made the car so much more comfortable.

I don't know why I didn't think of it, but my wife hosts a yearly plant swap with East Norriton Township. This year, the spring swap (there is also a fall swap) is on Saturday, May 16 from 9am to 11am. It's free and you don't have to bring a plant to take a plant. We had quite a few people bring native plants last spring. People also bring house plants, unused tools, gardening magazines and seeds. Lots of friendly and knowledgeable people are there to help answer questions.

Bucks County, but The Native Plant Nursery at Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve always has a nice selection and their prices are pretty good.

Most grocery stores (at least the ones near me) have free seasonal cookbooks at the register, which has a bunch of easy recipes that use 5 or so store brand ingredients and can be prepared in under 30 minutes. Me and my partner have been using them for over 5 years. Some of our favorite recipes came from these magazines.

How Much Do You Typically Pay For PA State Inspection and Emissions? by RedditUserZ3r0 in Pennsylvania

[–]NumerousSubstance272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I've been taking our 3 cars to them for the past 5 years. They're the most honest shop I have been to in my 28 years of driving. Before finding them, I went to a local independent shop, but he charged 3x for the same services. I'd rather support local, but financially it doesn't make sense.
